The Sopranos: All Due Respect (2004)
Perfect!
A very powerful episode! It might even be my favorite episode, but one thing is for sure, this episode is one of the best in the entire series. I really like Sopranos and I think season 3 is the best so far and I've heard how good season 5 is supposed to be and and yes it's probably the best season so far. This episode is THE PERFECT season ending. Season 5 has been very funny, entertaining, exciting and action-packed so far and everything came to a climax in the last episode. Long Term Parking has been the best of the season so far and that wasn't the end of this full season. This season found its beautiful conclusion in this episode and you could let this masterpiece come to a relaxing end in a quieter episode in the snow. Winter time is here again and everyone is happy except Christopher who still thinks his girlfriend Adriana left him. But Tony's cousin is still out and is a problem in business. Tony eliminates him and Phil is finally satisfied. Later at the crime scene, Tony and Johnny are there and both have to run as the FBI is after them. Johnny is captured while Tony runs home and the episode feels great with a funny ending. This episode is brilliant.
Tom und das Erdbeermarmeladebrot mit Honig (2003)
Great TV show!
I love this show. Every episode is so well written. Tom is one of the best characters of all time. He has a so amazing character development!
Each episode has the same plot, but the creator of the series always manages to tell a funny episode, even though it's always about making the strawberry jam bread with honey. I cry every time I watch the episode where tom loses his bread. Too emotional. Too intense.
Truly a masterpiece. Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are not so good like this series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part II (2022)
This episode was amazing!
Obi Wan is back and I'm looking forward to it. In the last episode we already saw the broken Obi Wan and how he is hiding on tatooine. Even the first episode was unbelievable and now comes the second one that has upped the ante and the excitement is rising!
This time we start with Obi Wan on a new planet. And this new planet was designed so well and the world-building was really good. Great set. This planet is a dirty urban planet reminiscent of planets like Coruscant. The planet also reminded something of Blade Runner. Obi Wan is now on this planet in the underworld looking for Leia. He meets an old clone, like him begging for money, which of course is played by Temuera Morrison. One of my favorite scenes in the episode was where Obi Wan was in a drug lab in a suit like that and it was just really cool. And the fight scene where Walter White, I mean Obi Wan, of course, fights in his suit in a smoky, dark room and just beats people up for a moment. That was a cool moment. After Obi Wan finds Leia, they must quickly flee from the Inquisitors, who already know Kenobi is here, but Obi Wan doesn't want to use his powers. And then Leia falls off a building and Obi Wan has to use his powers here and he seems to be out of practice but at least he was able to catch Leia. We also see this one fake Jedi taking on Reva. And that's how Reva was able to find out where Obi Wan is. And then we see a warehouse. And the Inquisitor Reva talks to Obi Wan. Leia quickly runs to the ship to activate it. Obi Wan pulls out his lightsaber, but doesn't dare activate it. And then it happened. The moment. The moment we've been waiting for. And yes. It was intense. I didn't see that coming. Reva reveals that Anakin Skywalker is still alive. And who is even more shocked than the audience is Obi Wan. A shock moment for Obi Wan. That poured a lot into him. And then the Grand Inquisitor comes and Reva apparently kills him by surprise. We will find out in the next few weeks whether he is dead or not. And Obi Wan was able to escape with Leia and in the last shot zooming in on Obi Wan we see Darth Vader at the end.
Overall a great sceond episode. Looking forward to the next episode after this plot twist.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
He is back! Lets go!
I was so looking forward to this series and it's finally here! Obi Wan is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars and that he's getting a series is awesome. Now you can tell a good story with him because you already have the perfect setup for the series. You could do something like Logan right now and then it would be fantastic. And yes, the first episode was wonderful!
Obi Wan is older now and has settled down on tatooine in peace. We see his everyday life as he works, eats at home, watches young Luke Skywalker and has dark dreams about his past. But he is being hunted by the Inquisitors, commissioned by his former student Anakin Skywalker, or today Darth Vader. Leia Organa also plays an important role here, which I like, because Obi Wan, who only calls himself Ben now, has a reason to get away from his current life and become active again. And the adventure begins in a galaxy far, far away, and Jedi Master Kenobi has his lightsaber with him and is back again.
Overall a so great start for this show. I am so happy and my feelings cannot be put into words. And let's take this journey together with Obi Wan and talk about the aftermath every week.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
This is a perfect movie.
Before I saw the movie I knew this was number 1 on imdb. So I knew what to expect. It could be overrated or it could be the best movie I have ever seen. And yes it's maybe the best movie i've ever seen.
The movie tells a great story about life in prison. Frank Darabont created his masterpiece here. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman gave a fantastic performance. The craftsmanship of the movie is simply brilliant. There are also a lot of great supporting characters here that i could never forget. Since the movie only takes place in one place, you feel completely comfortable in this beautiful atmosphere. The movie is very focused on the well-written characters. I love seeing you get to know each and every character and spend time with them. It's fun to empathize with the characters and watch the bets on who survives the first night or how they play cards, have lunch or play baseball outside and even the scenes where they work or sleep are awesome. The characters are the heart of this amazing movie. It's a lot about what it's like to live in prison and how hard it was back then. What it's like when you've spent your whole life in one place and go through the same process every day. But what the movie really shows behind this dangerous prison is the friendship. The basic message here is friendship. That friends are so important and that they are always there for you.
The movie is also the best of 1994. Better than The Lion King and also better than Pulp Fiction. If you ask me if The Shawshank Redemption is better than The Godfather, i'd say at least as good, but not necessarily better. Maybe better, but The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption are among the best movies of all time.
Also, the movie has such a satisfying ending. And you just don't want it to stop. I would never turn the movie off again. It is a journey into an adventure that everyone should see. Overall a masterpiece by the mastermind Frank Darabont. This is a piece of art. That's what movie is.
