Gabriel's Inferno: Part Two (2020)
Something refreshing
Yes, its not a big Hollywood production with very famous actors. But its good, its a nice story, the actors have one of the best chemistry I have ever seen.
Considering most of the scenes are meant to be cringe, the actors played them very well.
I have never read the book, so I didnt know what will happen. So I was really shocked when the sex scene was at the end of the 3rd movie. But that created ao much tension that if I was a man I would probably have a bo*er the whole time I was watching. Because Im crazy for destined love stories like this one.
Yes, there were a few clichés here and there, but they made me feel good instead of hating the movie.
Congrats to the team who brought it to life. Im thinking of reading the book too.
The Holiday (2006)
Filled my heart with joy
I miss those old simple and fun movies. No smartphones or social media. Amazing. One of these movies that make you fill pure joy at the end. Very nicely made.
Algoissjiman (2021)
I don't understand why it's in Netflix Top Rated shows for 2021
At first I thought is an unsuccessful attempt to get out of the usual Korean plots(first kiss in the 9th ep, always). But then I saw the story is coming from a webtoon originally. Which explains a lot.
It explains all the awkward dialogs and STARES. OH MY GOD THE STARES. Stop trying to imitate every scene from the webtoon, it just doesnt look good on screen.
Something that really annoyed me was when she thought he had a girlfriend. HE NEVER DENIED.
There was so much useless words said and so much silence. I get that sometimes it's hard to be direct when emotions are involved, but even at the end they never explained why they acted the way they did. Nothing was explained. Was he really sleeping with all these girls or was he a decent and shy guy. We will never know.
A waste of time. I give it a 3 because it fooled me for the first 3 episodes.
