Anatomie d'une chute (2023)
Great actor performances leave a good after-taste from this movie.
This mystery is not an obvious one. Sandra Huller and Swann Arlaud deliver captivating performances, each adding depth and intrigue to their respective roles.
Yet, despite actor portrayals, the film suffers from unnecessary scenes adding to the total length, particularly in its middle section. Nevertheless, the breathtaking mountain views blend in to the movie very well, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
In conclusion, "Anatomy of a Fall" emerges as a compelling mystery, culminating in a successful resolution. Fans of mystery movies should definitely give this French film a look, and directors should take note as well.
Napoleon (2023)
It's perplexing why this film receives such widespread criticism...
I rate this as one of the best movies of 2023
While it doesn't dive into every battle or event of Napoleon's life, it is historically accurate. Despite its runtime of two and a half hours, there wasn't a single scene that left me feeling bored.
Admittedly, some scenes may come off as somber, but the stellar performances from actors like Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby elevate the movie. Their portrayals, drawing from previous experiences in roles akin to this, such as Phoenix's in 'Gladiator' and Kirby's in 'The Crown', steal the spotlight and enhance the overall experience from this magnificent movie.
Meet the Parents (2000)
The best comedy there is
This is a humorous romance comedy. I like this movie especially because it feels different every time I watch it. The jokes are still funny and relevant. The main actors - Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller play superb roles and make it even funnier. Easily a ten out of ten!
Joker (2019)
Successful movie!
A very successful introduction of a character. We can see the type of person joker is, and the problems he had to go through by all the emotions shown. Thanks to Joaquin Phoenix who definitely deserved that maiden Oscar for a hell of performance. He is a great joker. This film is a must to watch!
The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
People vs Robots?
In my opinion, this movie's plot is way too global. In the first movie it all started slowly with Morpheus assuming that Neo is "the one". The second and third movies are about the war between people and robots. I do not think this movie fits very well in the Matrix trilogy. And honestly, it was pretty hard to understand what is going on while watching it.
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
An "ok" film
I liked the first matrix movie more than this one. I can declare right away that this film has an uncertain plot. However, the fight scenes are done quite well and are the best part of the movie.
Fantômas (1964)
Humorous
A virtuous movie which reminded me of many action, thriller movies made nowadays. The film definitely stands out of many others (in that time) by having an "invincible" protagonist.
The Matrix (1999)
Great
Matrix is a movie which makes me think about the world we live in, because it brings some unique (crazy) ideas. In my opinion this film succeeded in showing us a theory of what people are (can be). Personally, I really enjoyed all the special effects alongside with the fight scenes. This movie is a must to watch!
1917 (2019)
Unique
Unforgettable movie about the Great War. I value the work put into making this film with a couple of solid long one-frame scenes as well as all the special effects. I've never been to war myself, but in my opinion this is a very accurate setting of how it actually was.
How to Steal a Million (1966)
Happy ending!
A funny, happy movie is exactly what is missing in the world today. I'm glad I found this film, because for me it was always cool to look at the world in the past century.
Breaking Bad (2008)
Great TV Series!
Definitely one of the best TV shows i've seen in my life! A very good and accurate (imo) presentation of drug dealers. The ending was also done well and did not disappoint. Recommend this show to everyone!
