Battle Over Britain (2023)
Brings the viewer into thier world
I really enjoyed this movie. It gave me an idea just what these young men went through and the life expectancy of spit fighter pilot was during WW2. This war movie is very different to the action packed Hollywood productions, less blood and violence with very good acting and what I love, the characters grow on you and you actually care if they die. The action was pretty good considering the budget. I would have liked to see more aerial views of the dog fights instead of the face and window views but i guess this just made it more personal for the viewer, being in that cramp seat being shot at.
Hunter Killer (2018)
Dreadful and unrealistic
If you want an action film with a bad story line than this is film for you. What can I say. The script is terrible. What could have been an epic submarine movie turned out to be nothing more than a cheesie over the top American action movie that should have stared Chuck Noris. The start of the movie is well set and has that reality to it that hides the one at fault which we can clearly see in the Ukraine war at the moment. I think they masters this well but somehow they managed to kill it. From an Admiral being outspoken by a no body to the Russian fleet having a flat top aircraft carrier lol.
Shaft (2000)
A film you want the bad guy to win
Yes, this film is a joke and not to be taken seriously but I don't think I have seen a film where I have wanted the bad guy (Wade) to win so much in the end. And Shaft in this film is immortal as every bullet misses him even at close contact with machine gun fire. Bale acting was by far the best part of the film and I feel he did not deserve that ending.
The Fan (1981)
Great film, bad ending
I'm not going to bother talking about what happened in the film, please watch it. A great story line, Michael Biehn made this film, he played the part well, a loner, complicated, and gradually turned more crazy as the film went on, he played the obsession that you would expect from an obsessed stalker. I think the film died down a bit half way through which turned a 10 into an 9 but I think the ending could have been better scripted with a more dramatic ending. This is why I had to give it an 8.
The Hitcher (2007)
Action not horror
Very simple. Don't listen to any reviews on this site. The 1986 version is darker and what you would expect from an 80s film. The 2007 version is more Action and what you would expect from a 21st century film. Both films have amazing bad guys but the acting from the good guy in both films is bad. You can't compair, simple. Both films, depending on your mood are good .
