Frog Dreaming (1986)
Ever wondered what's at the bottom?
It's been many years since I've seen this movie but I'm working on making it a part of my collection. Basically, there's an eerie, spooky, creepy pond that perks a boy's curiosity. The boy, Cody, starts investigating an old legend about "Donkegin" and/or "frog dreamings," all this I don't quite remember but I do remember certain parts as being incredibly intriguing. As a kid, and even today, I've always been fascinated with lakes and ponds, always wondering what's at the bottom. I believe they even get some underwater footage at some point when Cody wears an old-fashioned dive suit! This is an excellent adventure movie that's great for the whole family! Highly recommended!
Gothika (2003)
Nothing wrong with this one!
Now I know why "the unemployed critic" is unemployed. There are way too many people like this person out there critiquing every piece of film that comes their way. See my discussion board post "Plot Holes--Who Cares?!" for more details. Brief summary? This movie did all it was meant to do---entertain. Maybe they should put a warning label on the DVD when it's released, "Warning: This is not an Oscar-worthy film." C'mon folks, clearly this is no "American Beauty" so just take it for what it's worth and enjoy it! There's nothing wrong with this one!
Resident Evil (2002)
LoVeD iT!!!!
This is definetly the best video game turned movie I've ever seen! Regardless of the video game plot, this movie stands alone as one hell of an action film. From the soundtrack, to the badass characters, to the plot...nothing disappoints! Start to finish, I garauntee you'll never lose interest or not be scared to death! I can't wait for this movie to come out on DVD, and being a girl, this is something your girlfriends *might* enjoy. ;) Go See It Today, You WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Cabin by the Lake (2000)
Good enough to own
I'll tell ya, I feel sorry for Judd Nelson and all the bad rap he gets; as far as his performance in this movie goes, he totally maintains the mood. Cabin by the Lake is a made-for-tv movie originally aired on USA, however, I now own it and it's sequel on dvd. (amazon.com) If you're looking to hand out oscars you might consider overlooking this one, but if you're looking to be entertained (as cheesily as possible) this is it! I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, everything is quirky from the acting to the music. The underwater scenes were done quite nicely, and the soundtrack isn't so bad either...however it's hard to find any other song from the movie other than "Cure" by the Wild Colonials. If you're a fan of Judd Nelson, serial killer movies, and overall cheesy fun, you'll be sure to add this flick to your collection so you can watch it over and over again. If you liked this movie, check out it's sequel...Return to Cabin by the Lake...it's really DEEP! ;)
