I'm reviewing this because I felt bad about giving it only a 5. The segments are interesting and fairly well done it just doesn't seem complete or finished.
The main story covered here is Pastor Terry Jones and his organization putting the Koran on trial. There is an interview with Pastor Jones and some coverage of the actual trial. Enough info so we know this is a Kangaroo Court (10 of 12 Jurors are from Jones's congregation) with Jones presiding as Judge. Where is the interview with one or more Juror? Witnesses? Holy Smokes where is the interview with defense council? That's a guy I wanted to hear from and about.
There are segments on the Stackhouses, an interesting Muslim couple. Other than being Muslim, what is their connection to the trial? I saw this on The Documentary Channel and before the documentary there was a brief segment with the Producer - Director - Cinematographer - etc Sofian Khan where he spoke of coming across this story while putting together a project on Islamophobia. That's what this looks to me to be. Part of a larger project. In fact I think it looks like something put together to show in order to get funding to complete the project.
It just doesn't stand on it's own. Yet.
