Gojira: hoshi wo kû mono (2018)
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
TERRIBLE. Hardly any action with kaijus. Just a bunch of boring talks through the movie. It was so confusing too. One of the worst movies I've seen, which is sad because the graphics were dope.
Resident Evil (2022)
zzzzZzz
Boring. So boring. The show is centered around these obnoxious, typical generation Z brats that have terrible attitudes and poor acting skills. I had high hopes they would make this show better than they did the movies. But alas, it's terrible. So terrible.
Meet the Blacks (2016)
Actually funny
This was actually pretty funny. One of Epps best movies for sure. It's supposed to be funny and corny y'all... Lil Duval could have been replaced by someone else though. He didn't do the best job.
Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005)
BRILLIANT
Brilliant script. The show still gives me chills when I rewatch it. Nostalgia at its finest. The concept of the show is a genius. Would give it more than 10 stars if I could. You get so invested with the growth of these characters. The soundtrack is dope as well.
From (2022)
Ehhh....
I was super excited to watch this show when I first saw the previews. Yeah it has mystery and some suspense, but nothing gripping. For example, "monsters" are shown in the first two episodes, and then the next 4 episodes they aren't even shown and rarely mentioned. The mysteries surrounding the community don't feel gripping enough to add to the suspense, but I started the series, so I'll finish it. I'm just waiting for something profound to happen.... Still waiting on episode 7....
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Gen Z kids fighting leather face
These kids were entitled, annoying, privileged, social-media driven individuals for whom I did not feel remorse for while they were being mutilated. And, of course, of the 4 main characters, the black guy dies.
Euphoria (2019)
Breath-taking
The soundtrack by Labrinth is DOPE.
These young actors have incredible talent.
The storyline highlights the struggles of addiction, in such a real life way, it almost gives me PTSD. The producer sure knows how to make every scene, every angle, every mood to a T.
The Last Duel (2021)
Amazing acting
I don't watch many films regarding the medieval era, especially non-fiction films. However, Jodie Comer is AMAZING. I first noticed her skills in the show Killing Eve, and have been a huge fan ever since. I think the character played by Ben Afflecks should have been played by another actor; however, it was nice to see Afflecks play a different role than usual. The three different storylines were a little redundant for my taste too, but it all worked out.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Nowhere close to the OG movie
I grew up on Space Jam with Michael A. Jordan. And while this movie is visually stunning, Lebron James' acting is cringeworthy. And no offense, he's a basketball player, not an actor. There's hardly any emotion from his monotone lines.
His son's acting was much better. His wife's acting was surprisingly impressive.
Kids will undoubtedly enjoy this movie.
The Beta Test (2021)
Great acting; script could be more polished.
This is the second time I have seen Jim Cummings movie where he is the lead role. Before this movie, I saw him play a cop in a horror movie about a wolf. He is quite an amazing and gifted actor. His main talent is acting like a man experiencing a mid-life crisis. The ending was somewhat enigmatic - I had to locate a synopsis to get a better understand of the last 5-10 minutes of this movie.
In terms of the story, I find it unlikely that during the "beta test", when an individual finds out that their spouse/partner had a one-time anonymous sexual encounter, that they would go as far as to murder them. At least, as often as this movie depicted these events occur. Script could of been more polished.
The Rental (2020)
Pretty good
This was a pretty good movie. Creepy as hell. The concept is really interesting. Be careful where you rent. And be careful, because someone may be watching.
Cruella (2021)
Ehhhh
I love Emma Stone, so I don't her acting on this. She actually did great. But the script was not how the OG Cruella was. She was ruthless! I did NOT like how Cruella's character in this movie softened toward the end, but that is just me. I know the idea of skinning dogs is appalling, being an animal lover myself. But that is what makes her such a great villain. It's almost as if they didn't include this because they didn't want to offend the audience, which is too often offended by too many things nowadays.
Alone (2020)
Outstanding
One of the best thriller movies I've seen in awhile. My heart does not typically rave when I watch these kinds of movies, but it did with this one. Amazing acting from the lead female role.
His House (2020)
Amazing
Great movie about immigrants fleeing a war-torn country, with a sense of guilt and remorse from the loss of a loved one from their journey. I'm always appalled how all black cast movies that are amazing get such mediocre reviews. I'll say no more about that subject.
The Coven (2022)
Typical
Typical beautiful couple fighting a demonic cult. Snooze. Not scary. Little creepy. Very boring. Acting subpar. Just the worst script and oh so predictable.
Unearth (2020)
Ground zero
This movie is dope because it is literally what a helpless family goes through during an outbreak at ground zero. Imagine. The. Horror. Am I right?? Duh.
Super Dark Times (2017)
Gave me chills.
Can you imagine having the whole world in front of you, on top of having accidentally kill a friend. The mother. This could happen to anyone. Made my heart race!!!
Kûtei Doragonzu (2020)
Wow. Just, wrong.
I'm literally trying not to be sensitive to an anime that will not likely see a season 2, but I have to say, this show is messed up. Fantasizing about killing mystical animals (whales being symbolic for dragons here) is cringe-worthy. I'd give it less than 1 star if I could.
Sator (2019)
You'd give a better review if you knew the background of this movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie because the person who made it mainly shot the movie by himself, without the help of a crew. When he did have help, it was a 1-3 person team. He created this movie over 7 years and is based off a true story from his grandmother, who believed a higher being called Sator was contacting her via automatic writing. The movie producer actually found out late on in life that his family had a history of this weird and unusual phenomena.
Based on this, I give it 8 stars. I'd like to see these low reviewers make a movie primarily by themselves and made this beautifully!
