A beautifully shot IMAX nature documentary on Myanmar that was made in the EU. We watched it with English narration. It focuses predominantly on the forests and marsh areas in the Inle lake region of the Shan state. Some of the shots are so stunning that we had to replay certain segments.

While most of the content is about birds and small primates there are The Longneck women, fishermen and even farmers who tend floating beds of crops that are anchored by bamboo poles.

Even with all of the onscreen beauty, there are two segments that focus on injured animals. One is with an injured baby snub tail macaque who is abandoned by its mother and left to die. The photographer captures two baby macaques trying to comfort it before it wonders off alone to die. Very moving.
