The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021)
Beautiful but quite sad life story
"I don't make the world beautiful, Louis. The world is beautiful. And you've helped me to see that too. Just remember.. however things get, how much you feel like you're struggling, the world is full of beauty. And it's up to you to capture it, Louis. To look. And to share it with as many people as you can. You are a prism. Through which that beam of life reflect."
Another great performance from Benedict Cumberbatch and great chemistry with his co-star, Claire Foy. This is a not-so-light story but the effect and the cinematography looks we're in some fairytale-like story. Believable characters and nice plot makes it easy for me to enjoy the movie and even shed some tears along with it.
Wreckers (2011)
Almost is never enough
The premise was good, the actor did a great job, but i don't know.. i feel like something's is missing. And the ending... it's suffocating me. But I do like the tone and how slow the plot goes. I'm such a sucker for slowburn indeed. I watched this because i want to know more about Benedict Cumberbatch and it's a good beginning.
