The Wolfman (2010)
Not a bad movie
I feel this not a great movie, this is some what OK, in this movie some part of the movie is boring. All the actors are acted well, finally i can rate this movie as 5/10.
While it lacks the pathos of the Chaney, Jr. version, this one boasts far more impressive sets (and settings), cinematography, and makeup fx. Lousy cgi have been shoe-horned in and actually manage to detract from all else. Del Toro does a commendable job in the title role, evincing some genuine depth of emotion early on (especially when haunted by echoes from his past), but the lack of a true romance hurts the film (the "budding relationship" gets nipped in said bud just when it should've blossomed); and when he professes his love, late in the going, it simply doesn't ring true. Anthony Hopkins comes close to stealing the show, but this is clearly Del Toro's time to shine- and shine he does. Whenever Del Toro is on screen, he commandeers center stage. Hugo Weaving is about as competent as one might expect an actor to be in a role essentially little more than an attitude, but that's about it. Paul Naschy made a career out of lycanthropy; I see no reason whatsoever why Del Toro couldn't do the same. He's certainly off to a good start.
