This movie can be put as a prime example of cliches and tropes. A broken but genius chef, an adoring friend, or a protege who initially hates our hero but comes to love him gradually - you name it, this movie has it all. Don't get me wrong, this is by no means a bad movie, just very very average fare.

Kind of movie Bollywood should make

First of all, this has been marketed as a thriller, but it is not a thriller. This is a character drama. Powered by brilliant performance of whole cast, especially anchored by Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan, this movie keeps you engaged throughout. There is no outright evil in this movie, only shades of grey.
