It's okay, not good, not great... but could have been.
4 September 2021
I found almost every element in this movie just slightly undercooked. The director has done well to hide an obvious low budget but where it suffers is in the story elements. Obvious comparisons to Blade Runner aside it is not a good detective story, they go here, they go there, they meet whacky weird characters, but no real sense of intrigue or suspense. The main character is a half baked unoriginal copy, the a.i. Character is done well but again, nothing original innovative or different, though very well acted. It was just so very MEH, when the bones were there for something surprising and different i am left knowing i will forget it very soon.

D.C. fail again in an exposition fest with terrible green screen.
19 March 2021
90% of voters will be d.c. tragics and they'll all give 10's. Over 4 hours i wont get back. D.C. have failed their universe so badly that even this ridiculous run time couldn't fix everything. SOOO much exposition for things that should have been given their own movies. Oh, there are these box thingies we never bothered to mention before, EXPOSITION. Let's introduce a whole new character with a rich back story, oh he's black? Better not give him his own movie then, we'll cover him with EXPOSITION. Hey there's this bad guy we've never mentioned before, better give him some backstory, EXPOSITION. Separate issues: "anti-life" does not mean "to control life". Ancient ruins down a secret crevasse, that's original. Wonder Woman STILL not over the dude she knew for a few weeks over 100 years ago, MOVE ON LOVE! WHY did she blow out an entire frontage to beat one guy after beating about a dozen of his men? SICKENINGLY GRATUITOUS Mercedes plugs. Here's a bad guy. Why is he bad? Because he's the bad guy. What does he want? To control everyone... or destroy everyone, either or. Why? Because he's the bad guy. Just accept he's the bad guy, you don't need more depth than that. Tacky writing. Too much exposition to fill in the gaping holes. Awful greenscreen. and 20 MINUTES of epilogue for movies that will never get made in a universe that needs to be shut down and restarted with Kevin Feige at the helm. Give it up D.C.

Just not remotely funny
9 November 2020
The utter lack of anything remotely related to trying for the slightest bit of realism aside... Its just not remotely funny. I'm sure comedians sitting in a room together amusing each other might seem like a good idea, but it just isn't. The lack of even a basic plot. The $2 budget. AND IT'S NOT REMOTELY FUNNY.

James Bond becomes Doctor Who
1 September 2020
What you know from the trailer is basically the whole thing. Timey wimey wibbly wobbly. Great big set action pieces, a barely explained convoluted plot, and lots of planet hopping cannot overcome the one thing you knew was coming, and that is that at the end you will need to re-watch this movie for it to make any sense at all. It was all leading to that point and to sit through 2.5hrs to get to that pint was tiresome. Acting, cinematography, action, all great, but Nolan needs to get over his incessant need to seem clever.

It's all downhill from here.
28 January 2020
This starts out excellent then gets worse every episode after that (even the ep. Ratings go down on imdb). It just moves to fast, plot and characters have no time to develop. Here one minute, gone the next with no time to care about any of it. The two main characters are obnoxious and whiny all the time. The season finale is a whole seasons main plot wrapped up and thrown away, where it should have been the whole next season. Do we care? Let's see. No. No we don't.

Trying to be an Interstellar level movie and failing badly
20 September 2019
I should have loved this movie. It's right up my alley. Intelligent Sci-Fi, like Interstellar, Arrival, even Blade Runner 2049 are all recent examples of "Stellar" movies in the same genre that I absolutely adored. This movie however obviously strove for this and fails on almost every level. Visually and effects wise it ticks the boxes. Unfortunately the main character is unsympathetic, unlikable, and just plain boring. Every character in the movie is one dimensional and gone so quickly you didn't have time to care one bit about them. The story was simple, get from A to B and do C, so they added all these random events that just don't make much sense, or even feel like they fit together. The main characters "deep and meaningful" voice over boils down to "Daddy left and I use being boring to cover up my anger", which any decent shrink could have told him after a single session. Dull characters, dull action, dull acting. Dull, dull, dull.

People watching in a whole new way!
1 March 2019
An interesting idea for a show that will not be to everyone's taste. If you are a people watcher who finds amusment in the idiocy of our species you will probly get a few giggles. If you think our species is awesome, watch it anyway and wake up to yourself. Not academy award material but a fun way to kill 20 minutes.

Every cliche in the book
26 December 2018
While I'm sure dc fans will love this movie and give it 10's (and I'm not comparing mcu to dc here), everyone else will find a completely unoriginal, poory written, poorly acted, poorly directed, overly cg'd BDAF(Big Dumb Action Flick). I had low expectations and this movie slid right under them with room to spare. Characters are 2 dimensional at best and hit their hero poses ready for their slow-mo close-up to deliver their tacky one liners every time. Fight scenes have the camera swinging around it like they are on a carousel. No one gets more than a boo-boo or an ouchie and get ready for the good old "You think they're dead? No wait, they're still alive!?". They could have done something great here, the potential was there, the cast, the basic story (reluctant would be king), the budget, what they got is a forgettable movie that will make them lots of money.
