Now You Know (2002)
Impressive Writing and Directing Debut of Jeff "King of the Randall Walk" Anderson
I have had the privilege of seeing this impressive first work from Jeff Anderson at Kevin Smith's film festival Vulgarthon III. While of course being biased as a fan Jeff's previous work, I kept an open mind while watching his flick and I was pleasantly surprised. The dialogue is very quick and witty and the acting surprisingly good. The characters are fairly well defined, with up and comer Jeremy Sisto playing the lead male role with grace and charm. There were also some great surprises. The character of "Biscuit" would be an instant classic if given a couple of catch phrases, as is he is a lovable if somewhat helpless character, and a great foil for Jeff Anderson's character of Gil. Also watch for Kevin Smith's cameo at the beginning of the film. His words of wisdom followed by a bizarre pairing after his speech will be greatly aprreciated by his fans. I hope that this movie is picked up soon and given a decent distribution as it is bound to be enjoyed by a great many people.
