Top Gun (1986)
A top 10 film for the 1980s
A well made and enjoyable popcorn movie. A bit dated, but fun to watch! Isn't that why we go to the theater? One of the last great movie stars of his generation. Great movie and soundtrack. Solid film!!
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Just the type of movie we needed in 2022
No agenda, practical effects, straight forward and well made old school action movie that leaves you uplifted and happy to be in a movie theater. Take note, Disney.
The Ten Commandments (1956)
Epic!
First of all, Charlton Heston is awesome. This is a great movie to watch with your family. Although some of the writing is very dated and arguably misogynistic, it's super fun and a pleasure to watch such a classic.
The Passion of the Christ (2004)
A classic that needs to be watched every Easter
Good bless Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel for making this truly accurate portrayal of the Passion of our lord. It is truly accurate unlike many portrayals of the Christ. For those who say it's too violent, I would suggest reading the Bible as this is an honest depiction of what we did to our Lord and Savior.
Ford v Ferrari (2019)
Enjoyable, fun and incredibly well made film
The acting is superb. Fast paced, beautiful cinematography. A very fun film to watch. This is the definition of an enjoyable movie. Great job with making it a period piece, with elements that really make the film pop and enjoyable to watch. Great to watch with teens.
A League of Their Own (1992)
A fun film but not exactly accurate historically
It's a fun film to watch, I'm being a period piece it's pretty cool. But some of the soundtrack and dialogue is overly sappy especially towards the end. I only wish it was more historically accurate, and feel like the screen writers could have done a better job with her but understand they have to make an entertaining film.
Rookie of the Year (1993)
Mediocre but enjoyable kids baseball film
The actual baseball footage in the film is pretty rough. But an enjoyable film to watch with kids. Daniel Stern seems to try a little too hard with his comedic elements, and some of the drama with the mom and her boyfriend seems forced.
