Helldivers II (2024 Video Game)
9/10
FOR SUPER EARTH
22 March 2024
SUPER EARTH PROVIDES SUPER EARTH PROTECTS FOR MANAGED DEMOCRACY!!

Helldivers 2 is probably the best multiplayer game since Towerfall Ascension. First of all, the bile titan in the room. This game is a satire, and it's not hiding it. Just look at the trailers. You'll see.

The community is actually pretty nice as well, something rare for popular multiplayer games. In all my hours of playing, I haven't encountered anybody I would consider toxic.

Gameplay wise, the game is awesome. Really (Redacted because IMDB doesn't like profainity) awesome. Friendly fire is always a welcome addition, and helldivers makes pulls it off expertly. Fighting off hoards of fascist space bugs who totally aren't just minding their own buissness until we started killing them for OIL is a blast.

TowerFall: Ascension (2014 Video Game)
9/10
Literal Crack
4 March 2024
Towerfall is on crack. There is no getting around it. It's fast, frenetic, and utterly insane. This game is best with friends, the more the merrier, in fact. Matches are quick, wild, and highly customizable, with tons of presets and maps to choose from, (with each map having several randomly chosen variations).

Towerfall has a very similar movement system of Celeste, which makes much more sense upon realizing that it was made by the same people. The soundtrack is by Alec Holowka, making this one of the few games he worked on.

Aside from all that, players die in one hit, and the of course, the nearest person throws a dog at you to keep you from winning (yes, that's a true story).

Wendigoon (2019– )
10/10
I may be on a watch list now.
3 March 2024
I came here intending to learn about true crime and now I know all about ATF gun laws. This is truly the Wendigoon experience.

The thing about Wendigoon is that each episode is uploaded only when the stars align and the cosmic gods deem it fit, but when an episode is finally released, it's usually longer than most marvel movies. Episodes tend to range from fifty minutes to several hours in length and are a fantastic watch regardless of whether I'm listening to it on a long drive or simply sitting my lazy ass down and actually watching it from start to finish.

Side effects may include; being put on a watch list, assassination, summoning the elder gods, and of course, thermonuclear detonation.
