The Music Man (2003)
Nice try Broderick but you're no Preston
I'm a huge fan of The Music Man especially the movie starring Robert Preston. I'm also a fan of Matthew Broderick but he really dropped the ball in this case. My favorite part about the music man movie was Preston's charisma and I know Broderick can pull that off but he just didn't. The most obvious example is the trouble song he was just singing it there was no character behind it. I must say that I'm very disappointed and could not even get myself to sit through the whole thing.
The Twilight Zone (2002)
First Episode
Wow. What can I say I haven't seen many of the original episodes but this show definitely lives up to the few I've seen. The first half literally made me sick to my stomach and it had the classic reveal which made me think of the cook-book episode. I really thought i was going to puke. The second half was much more stomach friendly except for a few scenes. But I thought Mr. Alexander did a good job at playing a job-weary death. I'm looking forward to next weeks show.
Road to Perdition (2002)
Incredible
This was quite a movie. I had never heard of this director before but I'm going to take a look at his other films. This film is an emotional rollercoaster. Bring a box of tissues. I also thought it had some of the most disturbing gun scenes I've ever scene you feel it each time you hear the report of a gun. At times you want to look away. Tom Hanks delivers a warm yet firm performance as a hitman and a father who's just doing what he has to do to provide for his family. Jude Law delivers a extremley creepy performance as a photographer hitman. Do yourself see this movie!!!
