Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

A good comedy action mix

I thought that this movie like most of the other Lethal Weapon movies was very enjoyable for an action movie. They are sort of the beginning of the action movies that tie in a little bit of comedy. I think that Mel Gibson gives a little more of a serious role than in part one. All of the stunt scenes are realistic which makes for a really good action movie. And the ending almost completely surprises you.

Contact (1997)

So believable that it is scary

Probably one of the better movies that I have seen in a while. I thought the whole movie you could really feel Jodie Foster's hope that something must exist in outer space. I also thought that they did a good job of not making it little green men or some kind of totally superior life form but instead a peaceful group of people that were interested in Contact. I also thought it was good about how they questioned Foster which left you guessing if her trip actually happened. Then that is sort of cleared up but not totally that was a great touch. First Knight (1995)

Too falsely heroic

I thought that this story was pretty weak. I mean it was great to see Lancelot in such a heroic role but I thought that the love story was pretty weak compared to many of the literature books. I also felt bad for Arthur about this but at the same time thought that he was a moron that could just never swallow his own pride. It seemed like a short movie even though it was not. I just don't understand why there was such a fuss over this one little town.

Dick Tracy (1990)

a good teen crime story

I thought this movie had a great cast and it had a good story to it. I think that it is a unique way to look at this time period which makes it original from most movies about that time. I thought it was an okay story but nothing spectacular. Very comparable to some of the followup movies to Batman. I think that it sort of has a superhero quality in a movie about crime fighting with no superhero talents. A crime movie that fits a young teen audience very well. The Train Robbers (1973)

a descent chase movie

I thought that this movie was okay considering that I don't really like John Wayne movies that much. I thought that it had a good ending and some good gun scenes during the chase. I also liked how they were never really sure where the enemy was the entire time. Some westerns show the men running from an enemy that they can see at all times. The only thing that I got confused with some of the time was who was shooting who in certain scenes.

American Graffiti (1973)

an original teen movie

This is one of the original teen movies. Many people now love movies like Can't Hardly Wait and Dazed and Confused well this movie is what they copy those after. I thought that the cast was great and it was cool to see many of these people in their younger years. It is the story of a group of teens over one night. Nothing really special just enjoyable and you can reminisce about what it was like living then or when you were that age.
