Red Dragon (2002)

One of 2002's Best Films.

I had the luck of getting to see the long-anticipated(at least for me) "Red Dragon". I am a very large fan of the 1st two Hannibal Lecter films and could not wait for the last one ("Silence of the Lambs" and Hannibal".) "Red Dragon" was much better then "Hannibal", although I didn't think HANNIBAL was that bad. But "The Silence of the Lambs" is the best. DRAGON was a smart, clever, and scary thriller that I very much enjoyed. I had to think about it all of last night and this morning but I give DRAGON a 10/10. It has a very strong story that flows extremely well and very. very few to no flaws. So if you are ready for the last serving of Hannibal Lecter (They better not make anymore because without Anthony Hopkins HANNIBAL movies would go nowhere) I suggest you go see this great movie now.

Panic Room with Will Ferrell (2002 TV Short)

Very, very funny.

I recently saw this on this years MTV Movie Awards and I about busted a gut laughing. You would have to have seen PANIC ROOM before you watch this to understand how truely great this is. I would recommend anyone to try and find this and watch it.

One word can sum up everything in this movie. Awesome. If you are just in the mood to see a great action flick on a weekend, go see XXX. I went at 9:20 at night and there were quite a few people all of which were pleased with the movie. All my friends thought it was good too. So just hang out and don't worry about artistic value and stuff, just watch a great action movie.

Collateral Damage (2002)

Good, worth watching once.

I have just finished viewing Collateral Damage and about one hour threw I wasn't to thrilled with the movie. But then it picked up pretty well and I enjoyed it. Yes, it is worth watching once so go rent it and have some fun. I do not suggest buying the movie unless you are a big fan though.

Gattaca (1997)

Brilliant, over looked film.

After I finished viewing "Gattaca" I knew I had viewed a great movie. But not until just today I realized that I have viewed a brilliant film. The story line is one of the fresh and best flowing I have seen in awhile, the acting is great, and the film itself is brilliant. Best film of 1997.

Rashomon (1950)

A great work of film.

I have just finished watching "Rashomon" and all I know to say right now was it was a great film. Although I am not a big fan of foreign films this is great. Asks you really What is the truth? Any film lover should watch this movie. 9/10

Signs (2002)

Great, intense thriller.

I got everything I wanted tonight out of the movie "Signs". Intense, edge of my seat, jump scenes, great story and it flowed smoothly, great film. It has a pretty good about of humor too. But most of all so very, very intense. I couldn't sit still cause I just knew I was going to be jumping in a minute! Everything in the end is really cool about how it fits together. I am gonna go back and see this movie again soon. I just hope I don't jump out of my seat again! 9/10

Rollerball (2002)

This movie... is HORRIBLY edited and shot. HORRIBLY acted. The script... they must have given 15 monkeys a box of crayons and told them to write it. It's extremely pointless and just horribly done. A very rushed movie they had to get done in their minds. Next time make the movie 2 1/2 hours, get Andrew Kevin Walker to script it, Ridley Scott to direct, and Brad Pitt playing Jonathon. THEN we would have a great movie mos likely. Do not see his though.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

Brilliant, my third favorite film ever.

I have seen "LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring" twice in theatres. The first time I left I knew I had seen something great...but I needed to see it again. I went back about two weeks later and realized this film is brilliant. The story is extremely strong. A simple story told complex, and greatly. Although I have not read the books I plan on eventually doing so now that I have seen the film. The acting is also a very, very strong part of this film. Elijah Wood deserved the Oscar for his portrayal of Frodo. He does such a great job. Also, Ian McKellen did a great job of Gandalf. The rest of the acting is great too. The directing is the best thing about this film along with the story. It takes you from place to place so well and vividly...it is amazing. Peter Jackson knew exactly what he wanted to when he walked into doing this film. He had an amazing vision. The music score is also another method of telling this story even stronger. It fits perfectly into any scene they are doing in the movie. If I have left anything out about this film I know why. There is so much I could tell you about this film and how much I love it but I will just point out those things. I cannot wait until "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers". It looks just as amazing as the first just from the previews. If you have not seen this, go see it NOW. In a theatre or when it arrives on DVD and VHS. 10.0/10.0 A classic

Speed (1994)

One of my favorite action movies ever.

This is one of the best action movies of all-time, within the ranks of "Die Hard" and "The Matrix". The script to it is very well done and the action sequences keep you on the edge of your seat! The acting is pretty good too. Overall, one of the best action movies. Go see it!

Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)

Hilarious, better then the 2nd, but not the 1st.

Last night I got the chance to see "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and I have to say I haven't laughed that loud and heard that much laughter in a theatre in a very long time. It sticks to how the other 'Powers' movies are, sick but great humor and extremely funny sight gags. This one was deffinately better then the 2nd Austin Powers movie(The Spy Who Shagged Me) but not as good as the 1st which is my favorite of the series(International Man of Mystery). Go and see those two first and then watch Goldmember if you are in the mood to just laugh out loud at ome great humor. Bring on Austin Powers 4 Mike Myers if you can keep it like these first 3! Yeah, baby! 9/10

Vampire Hunter D (1985)

My favorite Anime of all-time.

I first saw this at a friends house when he bought it and told me it was awesome. Well, after the first time I watched it it was my favorite anime. Go out and watch this is you like Anime. The action and the way the story flows are my favorite things about it. 9/10

I have to say when I rented this movie I did not expect very much out of it. I had seen it sitting there on the dollar movies for quite some time and one day was like what the hay. I took it home and a few days later watched it and loved it. The plot has many twists and turns I did not see coming at all. The acting is fairly okay and th directing is pretty good. This movie has you gripped and then at the end has an ending I did not see at all. Go see this, pretty good! 8/10

Malcolm X (1992)

I just got done watching "Malcolm X" today and I have to say it was a great film. This is the only film of Spike Lee that I thoroughly enjoyed. The acting in in top form. D. Washington deffinately deserved a oscar nomination for his great performence. The rest of the acting is good too. The directing is pretty good! I thought it was very well shot. The story and the dialouge flows smoothly and flows along perfect. I suggest this film to anyone who has 3 hours to watch this movie and if you do not I hope you make time to watch it. I strongly hope you do. 8/10

The Godfather (1972)

One of my Top 10 Favorites.

This movie is one of the most brilliantly crafted piece of film i have ever seen. The story is told so well, so complex, and with so many characters you could get lost but...its so engaging its brilliance. The dirction is in VERY HIGH top notch and so is the acting. The script is great and this is a must see for everyone.

Road to Perdition (2002)

Best movie of 2002, so far.

I have just returned from one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in a movie theatre this year. I just viewed "Road To Perdition". The story is one of the best and well told I have seen ever. It isn't just some gangster movie where they shoot up tons of people without a cause, everyone in the movie who is shot is shot for a purpose, except for maybe a few. Tom Hanks gives a oscar worthy performance as Michael Sullivan who goes after the men who have killed his son and wife, he goes along with his son that survived his Mother and Brother's murder. This movie is too brilliant ro describe in words. I keep trying to name things from it but the whole thing is amazing. I strongly suggest you watch this brilliant film. I would also tell you to see the brilliant "Minority Report", which is my 2nd, if not TIES for 1st, favorite movie from 2002. So go see "Road To Perdition" whenever possible. 10/10

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Masterpiece.

Something so good, can go oh so awful. "Reservoir Dogs" is a brilliant telling of a bloody diamond heist involving 4 strangers. Until they find out one of them is a police informer..but who? Quentin Tarantino is a master in control with this movie. No scene is pointless, The direction is great, the dialouge is amazing(sometimes funny, "How would you feel if you had to do a handstand everytime you p***ed?") The acting in in top form. Although I have never seen "Pulp Fiction" yet, I will, this is a awesome debut for Mr. Tarantino. If you have not seen this film yet I suggest you go out and buy it or rent it. I bought it without seeing it and I am extremely happy because I would have bought it anyways the first chance I got.

Reign of Fire (2002)

Good post-apocalyptic thriller.

Just got home from a late showing of "Reign Of Fire" and I was pretty impressed. I thought it was a very new idea on the post-apocalyptic years and the action was good. The plot went smoothly. And I thoroughly enjoyed the ending, as well as the beginning, well..the whole movie! Tons of fun, so just go and not care about anything and just have fun watching this. 8/10

Snow Dogs (2002)

I have to say I had no desire what so ever to see this ilm until we had to watch it in a class in church because of a over lieing moral. But once I got to watching this film I really enjoyed it! I mean its not brilliant comedy, but its pretty funny at moments, I guess i loved so much how well the story carried along. I am not really sure, but I do reccomend this film to anyone!

The Crow (1994)

A amazing film.

Wow..where do I start? This movie is truly amazing. It has tons of action, a love story, and a strong well carried story. The acting is great, the direction is strong, and the dialouge is awesome. Brandon Lee as The Crow is one of the best performances in a movie I have seen by a actor. If you have not seen this movie yet I suggest you go rent it as soon as possible. I highly hope you do.

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

A great movie, but not for everyone.

"The Royal Tenenbaums" is a great movie in my opinion for many reasons. It is very realistic, quite funny in parts, keeps your interst, and many more reasons. However many people will not like this film because they say it is boring, I shall say it is a new type of movie. Never have we really seen a family that could really exist, this dysfunctional, on the big screen. I think the story and screenplay is brilliant, a breath of freshair. I would recommend you to go and please rent this and see if it suits you. 10/10

Mr. Deeds (2002)

Funny as 'Waterboy' and 'Gilmore'

Yes, I am a fan of all Sandler's movies but I think his one would have to be my third favorite, only beat out by Happy Gilmore and The Waterboy. Deeds has many, many funny lines and can almost keep you constantly laughing if you have a sense of humor. It also has a love story within it! So if your looking for a good laugh or want to see a funny Sandler movie, although he had no hand in writing this one, you will love this. 9.0/10.0

The Bourne Identity (2002)

ALOT less action then you may think.

This movie shows ALL of its action sequences in the preview and at the theatre they are just extended and boring. Also the story was too confusing to keep up with if you were just trying to have a good time at the movies. I wish I had never gone to see this movie. If you want to wait until the DVD comes out and save money. 5.0/10.0

Minority Report (2002)

Brilliant

Minority Report is one of the most brilliant films to come out in some time. The story and twists in it, the direction, the acting, the futuristic setting, everything was sheer brilliance. This is one of Spielburg's top-notch best films ever. I am very glad I waited so long to see this movie because it was totally worth it. If you have not seen this movie do not pay attention to all the negative reviews on IMDB it is getting..just kick back, pay attention, and enjoy a brilliant thrill ride. 10.0/10.0 Best film there will be this summer.

Black Hawk Down (2001)

Best War Movie Ever Made.

This is, in my opinion, the best war movie ever made. It shows the battle of Mogadishu from so many different perspectives and how it impacted everybody. No other war movie could do that and I think only Director Ridley Scott could catch this much chaos at once. How this film is shot and the directing are great, the screenplay is amazing, and how realistic the situation is is amazing considering this event only took place a few years ago. Although Saving Private Ryan is the Best WWII movie ever made and considered the best war movie...I think this is the one and only Black Hawk Down there will ever be and it is the best war movie ever made. 10.0/10.0 Go see it now.
