Freeridge (2023)
A quick and fun binge watch
I binged watched this all in one day on my day off. I have never seen "On the Block", but I didn't feel very confused or anything watching this as it's just a spin-off of that show. The series is pretty camp, in my opinion. It is also one of the shows that despite how awful the characters can be at times, they are so raw and relatable that you find that you can't hate those characters even if their actions are pretty horrible. I teared up several times watching this. Especially watching Cameron's speech about how he was made to feel gross about his sexuality. It hit very close to home. It's also just a fun and easy watch, so I do recommend i if anyone wants to try it out.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
Quite a fun binge watch
I actually quite liked the series it was a lot of fun and the fourth wall breaks were funny. It called out all the fanboys who complain about the direction marvel is headed in the last episode and I thought that was pretty funny. It wasn't as good as Wandavision in my opinion, but I do think it beats Loki for sure. I like seeing things that are centered around woman with just a touch of witty commentary in there. The ratings on She Hulk don't appear to be great, but it's okay this series target audience is different than it usually is and that is what I like about it. I heard a lot about the CGI being bad, but truthfully it's not that bad. Maybe I just don't care too much about CGI effects though.
Wednesday (2022)
A very alluring binge watch
This show was very entertaining and I finished it all in one sitting today. I love a good story between humans, or normies as they are called in the series, and supernatural beings. The twists in this series are quite well hidden, but with just a little bit of foreshadowing that if you pay close enough attention you can discover the mystery before it is unveiled to you. I think the series did a really good job at taking these characters from face value to adding dimension and character flaws that they could grow from in their character development sequences. This was quite the watch and I am hoping season two will measure up.

A slow burn
I can definitely see the relevance in this episode to the overall plot point that the show is starting to drive towards. This episode was a bit slower paced than the previous episodes have been, in my opinion, but it was still enjoyable to watch. Also this whole time we have slowly been alluding to Woo and the relationship she has with her mother who abandoned her, and in this episode you see the Defendant who is a mother who cares so much about her daughter that she didn't want to abandon her before she could remember who she was. I am excited to see how this story keeps progressing and after the sneak peak of Episode 7, I can't wait for the next episode.

A great episode for revealing complex emotions
I think that this was a great episode to showcase how Attorney Woo is just as susceptible to any emotion that regular people are. She feels jealousy and she feels guilt. It fights against the stereotype that autistic people are robotic and void of emotion. They may not express their emotions like neurotypical people do, but they're still very much real and still very much valid. This episode really help continue what the show has already been doing, rounding out Woo's character by giving her depth. Also the mystery of the ending scenes keeps building as well which I believe is great build up as we continue our way through this series. Overall I am very happy with how well done this show is. The amount of research that has gone into the portrayal of the autism spectrum is spectacular and I am hoping to see more K-Dramas start to add inclusivity like this regularly. Especially considering the high ratings that Extraordinary Attorney Woo is getting.

Getting more backstory
I love backstory episodes! Despite it being hard to watch (not because it was badly portrayed, just because it made me sad haha) I loved getting to know Attorney Woo's backstory. I also love how she is developing these new relationships with her team and you can tell that even if they didn't trust her to get the job done at first, after getting to know her they realized they underestimated her and just because she is disabled doesn't mean that she is incapable. The case in this episode wasn't my favorite to watch, but I loved seeing more of Woo's high school friend. She's a very fun character.

Showcasing the spectrum
I thought that this episode was really important in that it showcases the spectrum. Yes you have the side of spectrum that Attorney Woo is on that seems like a genius. But there are also people who can struggle to communicate and are mentally younger than they appear. It's important for the audience to remember that autism isn't the same for everyone and the show didn't have to showcase the spectrum, but they did, and I have so much respect for them because of it. I think it really helps to show that they aren't leaning into the "autistic people are geniuses" trope that you see quite often on TV. I'm still really loving this show, I can't wait for more.

Autism Representation
I thought this was a great first episode for the show. I'm Woo's character I really see myself as someone who bounces when they walk or taps their ears when they are overwhelmed. The show does a great job at representing what Woo is going through whether it is representing how she is overstimulated, or if it is how she makes connections in her head to her special interest of whales. I personally also happen to do a lot of the repeating what others say and I just thought that this show did a great job at portraying autism in women. I really enjoyed the first episode and can't wait to watch the second.
