Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Obi-WanT to forget this
Star Wars has become a huge disappointment after Episode 6. Episodes 1-3 were disappointing and steer far from what the original trilogy established. First off: Yoda trained Obi-Wan, Anakin was Luke's age when he first met Obi-Wan, and so forth. With that said, Disney has released good spin offs of Star Wars: Rogue One, Episode 7 and then they messed up Episode 8 and brought in JJ Abrams to fix it in Episode 9. Now we have this piece of work. Why do they feel they need to add familiar characters to make a successful Star Wars project. Having child Leia in this was pointless and made no sense. I get that they wanted to established the fact that she knew about Obi-Wan through her dad but am I to believe she remembered that until she turned 16-18? BTW, she suppose to be 11 yet she looks to be 9 and her brother Luke looks older than her. Also having Obi-Wan being rusty and not remembering how to use the force made no sense. Yes, Vader references in New Hope Obi-Wans powers grown weak but that can be referenced to him getting old. The Order, Sisters made no sense nor does it make sense why Vader or Palpatine would use them or even need them. Vader, Palpatine, Luke, Leia, Yoda and Obi-Wan are the only force welders, so what happened the Order. Why bring back Hayden for this if the entire he was going to wear the Vader suit and JEJ was voicing Vader? You could got a random tall guy that you could of paid $200 an episode. This was by far the weakest version that we got of Vader. Also Vader learned all these new powers and moves that makes you wonder why he didn't use them in the other Star Wars movies. Oh, wait. I know. It was because he didn't and they kept things simple. The story was weak, the script was subpar and the graphics, puppets and costumes were poorly done. For this costing millions to do, you would think they would be able to do better unless they paid Ewan and Hayden the millions and only spent hundreds on the production. This series did not need to be done and even if they felt the need, it wasn't well thought out. The problem with Star Wars today is the fact that nothing meshes with the original trilogy. The stories do not fall in line with the original and its a cluster of nonsense that they are trying to wow fans with more special effects, more light Saber battles, and more force powers. You want to see a good Star Wars movie, watch Episodes 4-6, original cut not edited or enhanced.
Grimcutty (2022)
Grimdully
What is the point of this movie? Bad script, bad acting, bad plot. The only reason why I started watching it was because of the creature design and that's where the interests stops. The premise of the movie revolves the obsession of using electronics and social media and parents over protection and control of their child on their electronics and social media. Every point in this movie makes you ask why? Every decision, every action makes you ask why? Great character but a missed opportunity to make a good story. The name Grimcutty is a ridiculous name for the villain and title of the movie...should of named if Grimdully.
