Gekijôban Tensei shitara slime datta ken (2022)
Hail Rimuru-sama!
I finished Scarlet Bond, and here are my thoughts! I was in awe when the new character (Hiiro) was introduced and was even amazed about the problem, the poisoned land, and the tiara's mystery tied to the royal family and how it all ties to the Goddess (AKA the Demon Primordial Violet herself). Interestingly, the animation was exquisite (aside from a few anatomical distortions), but the plot seemed rushed in contrast. How can I say that? Two things, even though the characters' emotions and actions look realistic and justifiable. The execution of how the resolution looked very forced. For that long movie, it is sad that some scenes were wasted on unnecessary talks (of course it is okay if it is put in the series). Secondly, the build-up towards the resolution. We've known Rimuru already and it is very unlikely that he prolongs the end of his battles with his enemies (but if they are powerful, that's okay. However, his battle with Lacua looks awkward to me as the viewer. Well, maybe because the movie forced to include the part where Lacua gulps the orb or that Rimuru is still recovering his drained magical from his fight with Clayman previously (which is extravagantly unlikely knowing he has evolved into a higher magical being now). It is also quite disappointing when he just finished all the other obligations and knew that he has to go to the dying Hiiro right away but that scene of them talking was just so long and I am like imagining Rimuru doing a moonwalk with Ranga because of how slow they are to get there. Maybe it is because of how great Rimuru is in my head that I think he can swallow them and absorb the problem then release them once it is done, Beelzebub. Of course, I know he can, but the movie just forces it to not do that for the reason of being foolishly cringed. Get the Tiara to wish Hiiro to resurrect and then when Tora crumbled, the Goddess gave her her life back. Like, Rimuru/Raphael has the secret art of "resurrection" now, right? As long as there is enough magicule. Speaking of cringe, I am getting tired now of the other villainous characters looking down at Rimuru or when Spirit Queen entered, and they (the ministers) belittled her. Get over it. But, a silver lining, she always listens because she showed up right away. Also, my attention dissipated when the main leads kept on dying and then getting alive again. Nonetheless, I am excited to watch the 3rd Season and maybe even read the manga even though how busy I am! Love lots to everyone who worked on this series!
Enola Holmes 2 (2022)
One of the movies that I felt was worth my time
It is great to be honest. The movie has its own unique character and gives us the right amount of excitement to tickle our curiousity on what is gonna happen and and a disclosure for non-arthur doyle readers that wants to know about the persistent Moriarty. The story does not entirely focuses on the dilemma of the two nemesis (since it will just gonna make it confusing) but gives us an adventure and a resolution, in which some films these days lacks to keep us hooked. I think that the target audience has been reached successfully. I am satisfied with the cinematography, acting (some of the other characters' acting are kind of superficial but I think they were mean to act like that to highlight the main characters of the movie), production, the edits at the post credits, and I also like the fact that the clues were not kept on us throughout the whole movie, I love how they were revealed. The movie does not seem to be fast paced nor has any lacking/dead air since every information was sent directly to the viewers. Ultimately, I love the fact that it is not only about women empowerment, but also about humanity, planting curiosity and going for what's the most valuable path and truth to take. However, I am very curious as to what happens on the women of the match factory, it was not indicated in the news paper nor there's a snippet of what happened to them. Since, I think it's a true story and since current matchsticks are now red, then I believe that what they have fought for is worth it. 9.5 for me!
