Great series like procedural drama!
12 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I am glad that together with the characters you can talk about important topics in the hotel business! The dialogues show the very salt of this beautiful drama!

I like how Gu Won unfolds from series to series and how he develops! The audience, together with Gu Won, will learn how the hotel business works, learn to pay attention to the details of table setting, humanity, and doing business in the VIP segment. So Ran shares the secrets of his success. And it's wonderful to watch.

Yes, Gu Won is acting quite restlessly like a romantic hero: I don't like how he constantly touches So Ran, provokes her by approaching in front of her face, or insists on another 1 lap, expresses his feelings not skillfully, it pushes me away and it's unpleasant for me to see.

I am constantly worried about So Ran, she is like a victim of harassment from the attention of the Sheikh.

And I don't understand the creators, they romanticize probably incorrect romantic lines. For example, the character So Ran actively demonstrates that her boundaries are broken when she is invited to the room. But she presses into the jamb and not screams when Gu Won allows himself to approach her and push her against the wall. These scenes worry me. It is disturbing that someone may think that if a woman is silent, then she likes what is happening and she does not mind.

I like the business story, but the romantic line still bothers me. I hope Gu Won will show more development in terms of romantic relationships, show how he will come to the culture of active consent, the right to the body, etc. Progressive concepts.

Why do I want to watch the next episodes
9 July 2023
After watching each episode, I remain stunned.

First of all, I like working with special effects and dynamic editing. Shots of battles, scenes with dialogues... The scenes of violence are quite bloodthirsty and look expensive. I haven't seen such a good montage for a long time, it keeps attention and creates a wow effect.. Cool gluing! Looks pretty solid!

Secondly, I rejoice in familiar things that were characteristic of the USSR, although I was born after its collapse and I cannot judge the era objectively, but only by the stories and what surrounded me. I want to mention the good work on the visual, the locations, the props are very good! I believe in this era, i.e. Styles and images.

Thirdly, I like the plot and the way the story develops. How we are introduced to this world of libraries and librarians. I like this unusual development about how books endow people with a psychoemotional state (books of rage, patience, power, strength, joy, memory, meaning)... I like to think that behind this idea is attention to what kind of power a person has. I want to think about how it would work in science fiction... For example, through the mechanics of empathy.. After all, the book really allows us to experience a rich range of emotions...

The fourth reason why I liked the first 2 episodes of this series is a pretty healthy psychological atmosphere inside the plot of the library, for which we are invited by the film crew to cheer! In general, freedom is quite valuable there, all members of the library believe in their work and at the same time they show us healthy leadership, when, for example, to participate in a battle, the leader uses to remind the main character of what is important for him. Or how the team acts together harmoniously. I feel that people are kind there. And even when they do something terrible, such as murder, or omit significant things, it looks like the characters are not perfect, but this is not malicious intent, but probably a lack of experience or time.
