Not for conformists expecting another mediocre serial killer movie!

I will start from the end. The ending of this masterpiece is bold and it is very rare nowadays. Very symbolic and almost crossing the line of ridiculousness but if you want to talk about the most important things, emotions, sense of existence and so on, you need to take the risk. Von Trier took the risk and showed he is not afraid of telling the story differently. And that payed off. To understand the movie you have to be familiar with Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" obviously and familiar with some philosophical concepts. Having a little knowledge about basic problems in psychology would help you a little. This movie is just not for idiots.

The X-Files (1993–2018)

Extremely funny!

When I watched this series as a kid, of course I didn't notice all the nuances and references, recently my wife and I watched all the episodes again and I was shocked at how sophisticated the humor is here! Most often, all philosophical and religious ideas are ridiculed here, not to mention, of course, conspiracy theories. This type of humor is, of course, the essence of the nineties. Almost all characters are carefully written, with the Smoking Man as true tragic one. Because of the amount of philosophical problems raised, the series are infinitely funny and thoughtful at the same time. Highly recommended for philosophy students! You'll laugh till you cry!

Panic Attack (2017)

this one's probably for Poles only.

Kinda polish state of mind. I understand some of the reviews, but you have to get polish kind of humour, which can be very subtle and sophisticated. It is not a typical american-alike comedy for everyone from little kids to elders. A bit (well, maybe even not just a bit) depressive and dark humour fits polish people's behaviour very well. I like how the tension is slowly rising here. Surprisingly, as for polish movie, dialogues are very natural, and this happens not so often in polish cinematography in twenty first century. The acting is good too. Definitely not a waste of time for those who like to think sometimes. Solid 8.
