Okutopasu toraberâ II (2023)
I usually don't like turn based RPGs, but this is amazing
As someone who wasn't a huge fan of the first Octopath Traveler, I was pleasantly surprised by the sequel, Octopath Traveler II. This game takes everything that was good about the original and amplifies it to create an even more captivating experience.
The narrative and characters are the standout features of this game. The story takes place in the world of Solistia, where eight new travelers embark on their own unique paths. Each character has their own distinct personality, motivations, and backstory, which makes it easy to become invested in their journey.
Out of all the characters, Throné, Osvald, and Hikari were the most memorable and well-developed. The way their stories develop and play out is masterfully done and kept me engaged from start to finish.
One of the things I appreciate most about Octopath Traveler II is the amount of freedom it gives players. You can choose which character to play as and which path to take, which makes each playthrough feel unique. The game also has a deep combat system with a lot of strategy involved, which keeps battles from feeling repetitive.
Overall, Octopath Traveler II is an excellent RPG that exceeds its predecessor in every way. If you're a fan of the genre or looking for an engaging and immersive story, I highly recommend giving this game a try.
Debiru samunâ: Kuzunoha Raidou tai Abadon'ou (2008)
Found it through IMDb and was pleasantly surprised, this game is amazing
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon is a masterpiece of a game that truly changed my life in many ways. From the moment I started playing, I was completely immersed in the captivating world of 1920s Japan, where supernatural forces threatened to destroy the Capital City.
As Raidou Kuzunoha the 14th, the youngest devil summoner in his family line, I was tasked with working undercover at the Narumi Detective Agency to solve cases with mysterious backgrounds. It all started with a missing person case brought to us by a young woman, and from there the story only got more intense.
The gameplay mechanics in this game are simply outstanding. The ability to summon and control demons adds a whole new layer of strategy to the battles, and the exploration of the beautifully crafted environments was a joy in itself. The combat system is smooth and engaging, with each demon having its own unique abilities and strengths.
But what really sets this game apart is the story. The plot twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and the character development was top-notch. The emotional depth of the characters and their relationships with each other were so well-written that I found myself getting emotionally invested in their fates.
The graphics and sound design are also worth mentioning. The attention to detail in the environments and character designs is stunning, and the music perfectly sets the tone for each scene.
Overall, I cannot recommend Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon enough. This game truly changed my life in so many ways, from the captivating story and immersive gameplay to the emotional connections I felt with the characters. It is a must-play for any RPG fan, and I give it a solid 10/10 rating.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (1995)
A detailed review on my favorite and the most underrated game that changed my life
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner is a masterpiece of a game that blends an intricate plot with addictive gameplay mechanics. Developed by Atlus, this 1995 RPG is a true gem of the gaming industry that deserves all the recognition it gets.
Set in modern-day Japan's city of Hirasaki, the game follows the story of a college student whose death at the hands of demons forces him to inhabit the body of Summoner Kyouji Kuzunoha. As the protagonist, the player is tasked with investigating the appearance of demons in the town and the activities of Sid Davis, the Dark Summoner responsible for the protagonist and Kuzunoha's deaths.
The game's story is both engaging and well thought out, featuring an intriguing cast of characters that bring the game's world to life. The game's atmosphere is enhanced by its fantastic soundtrack and visually impressive graphics, making it an immersive experience that keeps the player hooked for hours on end.
One of the game's strengths is its gameplay, which carries over classic elements from the Megami Tensei series, including first-person dungeon navigation, turn-based battles, and negotiation with demons to recruit them into the player's party. The battle system is intuitive and easy to learn but offers a deep level of customization, allowing players to build their party according to their play style.
Overall, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner is a must-play for RPG fans. Its engaging storyline, addictive gameplay mechanics, and fantastic atmosphere make it a timeless classic that has stood the test of time. It is a game that every gamer should experience at least once, and it is deserving of a 10/10 rating.
