Blood Theatre (1984)
One of the worst slasher films from the 80s.
Yes. Now, I will talk about my experience of watching Blood Theatre.
Blood Theatre is a 1984 slasher film by Rick Sloane with Mary Woronov starring. The film is about a theatre where multiple killings and deaths are happening.
At the opening sequence, attendants are suffocated with smoke, then the girl at the Ticket Booth is stabbed to death. All I'll say about that killing is that it is noticable that the knife was a prop knife, and it was just water spraying around. There wasn't any stabbing visible. There were multiple other killings, but my favourite might be the one where someone is electrocuted by a projector.
Overall, I pretty much got bored while watching the film. After I finished it, I described it in one word: "Meh".
2/10 (D-)
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley (2023)
A good horror game!
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is a 2023 black comedy psychological horror RPG game released for PC on Steam.
Now let me get into the review.
So, I first heard of this game from an online friend of mine. I looked this game up on the internet shortly after. Then, I expressed interest in trying it out, but I was also reminded about an ending. After that, I checked it on Steam and it was for a good price. Shortly after, I got it and started playing it a few hours later. It took me around 3 hours to complete the game. While playing it, I did see that it had some scary content and I noticed that it was quiet short.
Now about the rating and my opinion.
Again, the game itself is kinda short but it has some scares. I enjoyed it, as I played a psychological horror RPG game before called "Omori". It also has a scene that you can avoid, so no worries. Overall, if you want to play a psychological horror game for only $10 on Steam, then "The Coffin of Andy and Leyley" is a good option.
I'll just rate each chapter.
I'll give chapter 1 a rating of 9/10 (A+), as it has good scares and a good plot. About chapter 2, I'll only give it a rating of 5/10 (C) due to that "one" scene at an ending and because it almost has no plot.
I will say that for me this is "not the best game" when I view it in hindsight, but it initially strucked me as good.
Overall rating: 7/10 (B-)
Leprechaun (1992)
MOST funniest 90s comedy horror I've seen...
So before I saw the film, I had just finished watching Child's Play 2 and it was good. Then, I saw that there was a movie called "Leprechaun". I said to myself: "So a comedy horror film... That's a good one, I'll give it a watch." And so I did. I watched the film. Let me talk about it now.
So, I started watching the film. The opening scene was kinda blank for me, but after that, I was laughing at some of the killings in the film. My favourite scenes include the "Pogo on His Lung" scene, the "Ring around the rosie" one, the wheelchair chase and the "climax". I thought Davis was FANTASTIC in the film! Kiner's score was also well done and I still keep saying the "I want me gold!" quote often and try to do the Leprechaun voice when I'm with my online friends. Jones' direction was good too but the film's writing could have been better.
Now for the rating. Critics didn't praise the film, but overall I admit that I enjoyed the film. This film is a good 90s Comedy Horror film by Mark Jones, and I recommend this to horror fans!
9/10 stars / "A" grade.
Leprechaun 2 (1994)
Not the best Leprechaun movie
So, I've seen the first movie in like 2023 and I enjoyed it. It had good humor, and was more funny than scary. The orchestral score was not bad. But let's not get distracted. I want to talk about "Leprechaun 2".
Leprechaun 2 is a sequel to the first movie, and I've seen the movie this year. A lot of critics hated this movie and some people did not like it either. That was interesting to me. Before I've seen this movie, I thought that this will be just a spoof but actually this is another solid Horror Comedy. I was impressed with Elias' score, but the film could have been written better. The film pretty much had poor dialogue. The acting was mid too, but you have to admit that the cinematography was pretty good.
So yeah, I like this film and I also enjoyed it. If you want to watch a good horror comedy then Leprechaun 2 is worth it!
8/10 stars / "A" grade.
Don't Go in the Woods (1981)
Horror or Exploitation film?
Oh my. Oh my. Oh MY. OH MY.
This movie was litteraly painful, and I can say that I hate it overwhelmingly. While watching, I asked to myself: "Is this a horror or exploitation film?"
The score is quiet painful, very boring and a meh. The cinematography wasn't the best either.
And don't mention the actors please. Even at the opening scene, the acting was horrible and poor written. The killings were a MEH, even "Friday The 13th" and "He Knows You're Alone" has better ones.
To be honest, this film for me is even worse than "Nail Gun Massacre" and I don't recommend this film. It's NOT worth it, you'd be bored soonly and stop watching it.
The Forest (1982)
Mid 80s forest themed horror film
There were quiet many slasher films in the 80s. Let me talk about "The Forest".
I saw the movie shortly after finishing Friday The 13th. There are people who doesn't like this movie, but I have to admit that I did like it.
I can admit that the opening scene was kinda pointless and I did ask to myself if this was an exploitation or a horror film. But you have to admit that the score was not bad. The cinematography is average, and it's better than in other horror films like Nail Gun Massacre (1985).
If you're a horror fan that likes forest themed horror films from the 80s, then The Forest is a good option to watch.
Nu, pogodi! (1969)
The BEST Soviet cartoon!
You heard that right! I grew up watching this series like daily. I have to say that "Nu, pogodi!" is one of the best cartoons of all time and a MUST watch for kids and everyone.
The episodes are so amazing and they have the two good voice actors: Anatoli Papanov and Klara Rumyanova. The music is appropriate for the series and it has wonderful humor! Until like episode 18 the series is the best in my opinion, but the 19th and 20th episodes are enjoyable as well with good voice actors and decent animation, though I still recommend the older ones.
Overall the series is amazing and people will enjoy this cartoon series with joy! Highly recommending it, so if you want to then it's worth to watch!
