The Flash: A New World, Part 4: Finale (2023)
GOODBYE, FLASH
I can't believe we're here, The Flash is officially over.
It's been a long journey with many highs and many MANY lows. I mean damn, did you see the last 6 seasons? I think the last actual good episode of the show was season 4 episode 15 where Barry had to prevent a nuclear bomb from destroying the city, it was a phenomenal episode. I only wish the rest of the remaining show could've been that consistent, but it is what it is.
Goodbye, Grant. Thank you for all the good memories and amazing performances you put on for us even when the show was heavily declining. I'm happy the show ended on somewhat of a high, but I am not satisfied. I wish Iris, Allegra, Chester and absent parent Cecile would've had a harsh ending to their characters instead of this happy ending nonsense, but it is what it is.
Everyone, let's give the The CW a HUGE THANK YOU! For ruining the shows potential by hiring Eric Wallace as the shows show runner for the past 6 seasons! Absolutely tarnished an amazing show! !!!
Yeah that's pretty much it. I'm glad this show is finally over so I no longer have to force myself to watch it anymore haha.
No, but seriously goodbye, Grant, you were and always will be the best Flash, fair well.
The Flash: A New World, Part 2: The Blues (2023)
NOT BAD, NOT GOOD
Honestly, for an episode that doesn't really focus on The Flash, this wasn't bad. Obviously I would rather have an episode in the finale that's completely focused on The Flash like the previous 2 episodes and this episode would probably be more highly rated if the season finale had more than 13 episodes, but it is what it is.
I have to admit that I hated Mark in the earlier episodes and seasons of the show, but this episode I actually didn't mind him. His acting was actually really good and not corny at all compared to the prior episodes and this episode actually felt really mature compared to the others of this season. The show is still sloppy and no where near as good as the first 3 seasons, but I haven't minded the previous 3 episodes to be honest.
I also really liked seeing the scenes with Eddie and i'm actually kind of excited to see what he brings to the next 2 episodes as cobalt blue or whatever his name is haha.
This show is probably going to end very anti climactically with a lot to be desired, but honestly when you have a show with a show runner like Eric Wallace and a platform like the CW what do you expect, right?
We can only hope that the show will end on a high note.
The Flash: It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To (2023)
WAS THAT AN ACTUAL GOOD EPISODE OF THE FLASH?!
Finally, an episode that is focused on THE FLASH!
Sure, it has some flaws, sure, it doesn't come anywhere close to being as good as the first 3 seasons of the show, but at least we got an episode in The Flash dedicated on The Flash. It was nice seeing Wally again and it was VERY nice to see Oliver aka Green Arrow back in action again.
After seeing the new teaser trailer we get to see the OG Reverse Flash again and I can confidently say that I have hope for that episode. Unlike the past 8 episodes, I and many others have dread having to watch the show, but since we finally got an episode that's mainly focused on The Flash I have found a new hope for the upcoming episodes.
Hopefully this show can go out in a bang, but knowing Eric Wallace it's probably going to end in some generic "everyone gets a happy ending and none of the main cast dies" type ending. Regardless, I will try my best to enjoy it despite how bad the previous episodes have been.
Thanks for reading.
The Flash: Partners in Time (2023)
MEH
First off, I am going to keep this as spoiler free as possible.
Now, the past 7 episodes have been absolutely horrendous and damaging to the reputation of The Flash, ESPECIALLY the last 2 episodes. I honestly CANNOT believe that Eric Wallace thought it would be a good idea to put in 2 filler episodes in the FINAL SEASON that don't even have The Flash in them.
I will not hit you with that "this is supposed to honour The Flash" because we are honestly too far into the season to even care anymore and I think we've heard enough of it haha. There is no point of me saying "please make the show more focused on The Flash" because Eric Wallace has already finished filming the final season and he clearly doesn't care enough about what the fans want so..
Lastly, I have a theory that the reason Barry hasn't been in his own show recently is because The CW can't afford Grant Gustin and if that is the case, it just goes to show that this show should of ended when iris was supposed to.
The Flash: The Good, the Bad and the Lucky (2023)
WHAT DID I JUST WATCH
God i hate this show so much now. Like i actually dread having to watch it. The only reasons that i AM still watching it is because of my nostalgia for the show.
First, how many times are we going to say it, this show is literally called "THE FLASH". Not this different variant of caitlin, not knock off cisco, not allegra, not absent parent cecile. Like what were the writers thinking? Was this a filler episode? Because it felt like one. Even if it was a filler episode why the hell would you put a filler in the FINAL SEASON OF THE SHOW?? This episode goes to show that the writers are lacking ideas. If this season was the regular 17-23 episodes then fine, do a filler; BUT NOT WHEN ITS THE LAST SEASON AND THERE IS ONLY 13 EPISODES.
Most of you probably liked reading this review more than the actual episode itself and i honestly don't care enough to write anymore about this episode because it was just that bad. I'm so glad this show is ending.
The Flash: Rogues of War (2023)
BORING, LIFELESS, WHAT HAPPENED
Honestly, if this show is ever going to come close to the once and great show that it was, you have to get rid of Allegra and Chester. This show is called THE FLASH, not Allegra and Chester's relationship problems. To the writers, directors and everyone behind the scenes, please make the show more focused on THE FLASH. I can promise you now, you would get your first episode (for the first time in like 2 years) over a 9, if you got rid of Allegra and Chester. They are absolutely useless, boring and damn annoying. No one would miss them. Also, please use your actors acting abilities properly, they seem so dry and lifeless now. It's a hard and slow watch. Please show sort of passion and effort for your show, I love this show, *loved this show. We can only hope that they actually gonna listen to the fans now. At least make the show go out in a bang man.
