Jennifer Coolidge - Golden Globes
16 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed the show. But please someone stop Jenny Coolidge from throwing spoilers, last episode wise I already knew towards the end she was bonne b killed off, thanks to the Golden Globes speech. I mean, please can somebody make rule that prevents film crew from spoil details of the plot at interviews and stuff?

Wow, it looks like I gotta write another 250 characters or so.... So, yeah, the acting was brilliant and the cinematography and the music. What I don't quite get is Mike White's long winded idea of a journey with the characters where the plot itself is pretty thin. I do admire the craftsmanship that went into it though. I just probably don't quite get it.

A Masterpiece in storytelling
12 December 2021
Incredibly well put together. Whether you're a fan of stories based on fact or straightforward drama, this series packs a remarkable narrative punch at its best. Great acting, editing, and screenwriting, all this with fairly modest production values that just do the trick. Joyful to watch but most of all it's an important piece of history that needed to be told, and thankfully it was told extremely well.

F1 in a nutshell

All you need to become F1 fan, which I must emphasise I never been. But, after watching this show, I truly am. It's got everything insight, history and thrill.

Assassination oh Gianni Versace: Groundbreaking
19 December 2020
This is not a typical movie or a TV show. This is masterfully pieced together retrospective storytelling. The concept of moving backwards and then back to the the front in time isn't new in cinema. The most recent examples are Christopher Nolan movies, who seems to be more interested in space-time continuum though, but this picture is entirely committed to the time spectrum, and how.. with great passion. Rarely had an array of such splendid actors been put together to match such well-crafted script in a mini-series, including the lead who is half-Philipino just like the character he portrays. The facts that he is gay, half-Philippino and living in the 90's are all central to this based on facts story. This is my second viewing and this is only getting better :)

Wickerman for the new generation
2 October 2020
There's absolutely nothing wrong with this horror mini series, except its predictability to the older generation. It's well produced well acted and all. There's just simply on point for people that have already watched the original "Wickerman" , because the element of surprise is gone....

It's a freaking soap opera!
20 May 2020
If this is worth 10 stars than so is Dynasty or Beverly Hills, 90210. And be sure that it's the same type of audience thus show is aimed at. The only differences are the more Oriental setting and semi-politically controversial premise (S.Korea-N.Korea Divide), but make no mistake it's the same soap/melodramatic style as the titles mentioned above.

My favourite movie doc
26 March 2020
Don't you just love it when it blows up in their faces?! What a great account of an episode of trash movie industry. I found it truly enthralling, the naïveté, arrogance and passion of the famous producer duo. And if anything we get to sentimentalise on the movies we grew up on, that is if you're in the same category as me. But even if you're not you might still be fully entertained by this whole Hollywood dream goes south of a story.

What an incredible insight into Child Abuse
28 September 2019
This doc is not about Michael Jackson. It's about child sexual abuse and its circumstances. It's warning that needs to be sent out goalless kids and parents too. But especially kids. Cause it's not about what fame can lure you in, it's about how vulnerable children are to sexual abuse. It's groundbreaking and heartbreaking piece of work.

Beautifully photographed, very well scored, well acted piece of pulp that plays with conventions.

Am I missing sth?
27 April 2018
I've watched this show for continuous 10 hours (or so) to get to this episode. And it is no short of this very show's aura i.e. it's right on the dot. To be honest there's no point discussing the merits of this episode with the rest of the reviewers because unfortunately most of them seem to use this reviewing channel as a "critical" trip advisor-like discussion where no one really cares about the production values , direction, acting or script. I feel that reviewing an episode of a show that has held its ground so well, for long is simply a punch below the waist. BTW even though I've never been a big fan of Mad Max I like the take on the crappy post apocalyptic movies a lot!
