Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
A High-Seas Adventure of the Highest Calibur!
"Dead Man's Chest" is an outstanding and exciting movie that blows the competition out of the water. You will be glued to the screen from beginning to end, not wanting to miss a single minute of the action. The plot is original and entertaining and really takes "Pirates" to the next level. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightly are brilliant once again as Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann. There are also several familiar faces that will entertain and surprise fans. Will Turner fans will definitely not be disappointed with "Dead Man's Chest." This second outing allows Will to show his magnificent and exceptional leadership abilities and once again his undaunted bravery and love for Elizabeth. The music to accompany the action is fantastic. Hans Zimmer does a magnificent job capturing the power of the movie. The soundtrack is driven and epic in nature to support the grandness of the movie. Fans of "Pirates" will be humming the music in their heads for days. Now that "Dead Man's Chest" has finally sailed into theaters -- taking the box office by storm -- the countdown is on for "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" (tentative title?) due out in May 2007. Have a swashbuckling good time with "Dead Man's Chest"!
The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004)
Princess Diaries 2 is a Must See Movie!
If you only see one more movie this summer, make sure its Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement. It's a royal delight that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. Mia has blossomed beautifully from teen to soon-to-be Queen since The Princess Diaries. In this equally enchanting sequel to the original, it's Mia's time to make a difference and take her rightful place as Queen of Genovia and carry on the Renaldi line. The movie is once again perfectly cast with very talented actors and actresses. In addition to the returning stars (Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews and Hector Elizondo, etc.), Princess Diaries 2 is filled with an equally talented and wonderful supporting cast (many of whom are related to director Gary Marshall, proving that Nepotism can be a good thing and that it belongs in the arts). Gary Marshall does a brilliant job directing, once again. He knows what is funny, what works and what doesn't, and how to make a great, clean, wholesome, and heartwarming movie. And what makes Princess Diaries 2 even better is that Mia gets to find romance. But will she marry for country or for love? You will just have to go see the movie and find out. And stay till the credits are over. The movie is not over till the credits end. Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement is a royal gem! You are cordially invited to the best movie of the summer. Don't turn it down!
A Wrinkle in Time (2003)
"A Wrinkle in Time" Brilliantly Brings Classic Novel to Life!
I have waited a long time for "A Wrinkle In Time" to be released in the USA, but it was worth the wait. I remember reading the book when I was in Middle School and enjoying the exciting, adventurous tale of self-discovery, courage and determination. The cast does a superb job. Katie Stuart makes an excellent Meg, as well as Gregory Smith an excellent Calvin O'Keefe. The main reason I wanted to see the movie, though, was because of the extremely handsome and talented Chris Potter. Chris does a great job. It was great to see him rightly cast as Dr. Jack Murray. The great cast and wonderful special effects bring the classic story to life. A must see!
The Cater Street Hangman (1998)
Cater Street is a brilliant movie with exceptional lead actors.
The Cater Street Hangman is a brilliant movie with exceptional lead actors - McCarthy and Hawes. Eoin McCarthy and Keely Hawes shine as Inspector Pitt and Charlotte. The movie is brought to life by the exciting book it is based on by Anne Perry and by the fact that it is a period piece. This is a must see for murder/mystery fans. The movie keeps you guessing until the end. It would be great to see more of Anne Perry's novels in this series come to life. Until that happens, Cater Street will do to satisfy anyone's appetite. Enjoy!
Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)
Nemesis blows all other movies in the theater right out of the galaxy!
Star Trek: Nemesis is a great addition to the ST:TNG saga. I loved it! The movie is exciting and emotional. The action is very realistic and vivid in detail. The ending will have everyone surprised and crying at the same time. I recommend this movie for all true Star Trek fans. Nemesis blows all other movies at the theater right out of the galaxy, as usual. Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner and the TNG cast are superb as always, delivering top-notch performances. Newcomer Tom Hardy is an excellent nemesis as young Picard clone Shinzon. A must see for anyone who wants to see Science Fiction at its best (especially those who have waited 15 years to see Riker and Troi get married). May Star Trek and TNG in the movies Live Long and Prosper!
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
"Attack of the Clones" keeps you on the edge of your seat.
"Attack of the Clones" is a great addition to the Star Wars Universe. The continuous action and excitement keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The special effects are superior as always. it is nearly impossible to tell that the movie is entirely computerized. It is great and sad at the same time to see how Anakin goes "bad." This installment certainly answers that question. There is so much to talk about that fans will just have to see it themselves. Once they do, they will want to see many more times. Lucas has another winner with "Attack of the Clones."
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998)
Star Trek: Insurrection is exciting and entertaining.
Star Trek: Insurrection is an exciting movie with plenty of action and humor as well. I especially loved Commander Data. He is a wonderful character. The movie includes beautiful scenery and keeps one entertained the whole time. It is a wonderful addition to the Star Trek movies. I look forward to the tenth installment - Star Trek: Nemesis. Live Long and Prosper!
