I want to know where it goes

It's a continuation of the original series - 30 years later - which brings with it all sorts of interesting and fun possibilities.

Remember it's also 30 years in the future for those of us (including many of the reviewers) who enjoyed the original series. Now that we have smartphones and streaming services and special effects and decades of several unbelievably good shows, we have to all remember that the show should not and cannot recreate that original magic. It needs to make its own original magic.

So far I like the characters. The cast is solid. It's the first episode. It wasn't perfect, but it is interesting. I appreciate that the writers have shown us a glimpse of some of the new possibilities/magic.

Let the writers tell us the story. Sit back and enjoy. Or get off the ride.

Simple fun

Actual laugh out loud moments sprinkled generously throughout every episode.

Not particularly deep, but a good premise with fun and engaging characters. It's a great way to finish any day. Particularly the tough ones.

Surprising

The complexity of the multiple romances was surprising and I cared about each character.

The fast pace in which we learn of the intertwined relationships of the characters was magnificent. The relationships themselves were inspiring and each actor was perfect in their role.

Well worth watching more than once.

Wolf Like Me (2022– )

Very Enjoyable

That was really good. The acting was good. The characters believable.

I had never heard of it, but starting watching because of the genre and the fact that it was 6 short episodes. I felt like watching something quick.

My highest praise to the writers. The story was great. Thank you. You made my day better.

4400 (2021–2022)

First episode was great

I'm putting this out after watching the first episode. The second episode hasn't been aired. I will be watching it.

What a chaotic first episode, introducing characters left and right! Raising questions! Getting some things wrong. Getting most things right. I think that's great. It makes me want to watch more.

And the whole race & LGBTQ+ complaints are idiotic.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we lived in a world where we didn't need to have checklists on TV to show different people with different cultures and identity. Unfortunately, we aren't at that stage in our evolution yet. So the more we put on screen and allow that to become part of our shared consciousness, the better it is. Watch the story, people. Gain from the experience.

For the record, I enjoyed the original, too. And was sad when it ended. This is not the original. Hurray! Because I've seen that already.

Two Distant Strangers (2020)

Simple message simply told

I don't live in America, but I thought that this was a good way to portray the life that Black Lives Live. It isn't nuanced. It isn't subtle. It doesn't try to explain why or how. It shows what is. I appreciated it. Thank you.

Paradise Hills (2019)

I was not expecting that

What a great movie. Also terrifying in that this is a possible future someone has imagined. It doesn't spell out every detail of this dystopian future, but allows you to add your own horrors to what else might be included in such a place. Perhaps a way to give ourselves a warning of what we must not become.

Batwoman (2019–2022)

This was fun

I enjoyed it. It's about hope, love and dreams with that ever human quality of misunderstanding thrown in.

Not sure where all the hate is coming from. Give it a chance and enjoy the story.
