A Taste of Praise (2023)
Great movie based on one's Christian rights.
It is easy for someone to criticize a movie that is contrary to what they believe and what they think are their rights. But they tend to forget that some people have different views and then those with Christian values also have rights. And the baker is not against them or their lifestyle, he just stands on his beliefs. And according to the Constitution of America he, too, has those rights.
But enough about the differing viewpoints. The acting was good and the characters did well portraying their roles (which might have been difficult for some of them). The story progressed well and the relationship between family members was well acted out. And it was interesting to see how the Dad, husband, baker, friend, believer in God, was confronted and dealt with each of his positions. And that they had a major law firm take their situation on Pro Bono position.
I'm Not Him (2021)
A very good "Feel Good" movie.
The acting was very good, especially Annie Heise and Audrey Bennett. The story was well written and direct. It had a strong Catholic lean to it, but wasn't promoting Catholicism just having a relationship with God. And was brought out: well w having a relationship with God and praying to Him in such a way that you are "talking" to God. As advice from the main actor to others was it's not just spending time repeating prayers, but being personal in your prayers.
It wasn't a predictable movie even though there were a couple times when you knew what was coming next. But it kept you watching to see all that was going to happen. It is one I have recommended to some friends and one I would watch again.
Like others, I rated it an10 and it was well worth it.
Camp Manna (2018)
Stupid movie!
It was very, very poor in many aspects. Acting was terrible. Script was very bad. The characters being portrayed were pitiful and demeaning to teens who were overweight, African, Oriental, young and small in stature. Supposed to be a Faith movie but it was more insulting to God than revealing God. I would never tell anyone about this movie unless it was, "Dot waste your time by watching it. I hope every actor in it was able to do much, much better in another movie. Or send them back to pizza delivery. It is the worst movie I've ever watched. The only good in it was the last 5 minutes. I do not recommend anyone wasting 1 hour and 26 minutes and 33 seconds.
