Lost in Translation (2003)

Comedy? Drama? I call it nothing, because that was the plot.

If the critics like to be bored out of their mind in order to give any recognition to a film, then this this must be a gem. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENED IN THE ENTIRE FILM. I think there were two moments where I chuckled at it, but the rest of it I was bored out of my mind. I know during a dark comedy you don't fall on the floor laughing, but there are moments in it that you look back on and find a lot of humor. Well I can't even remember a moment in Lost in Translation because it was just blah. There is absolutely nothing in it that sticks out. I can't even figure out if it was a comedy, or a drama, or a romance film. What was it, please tell me. Anyone who liked it must have been stoned or drunk or something during watching this film, because it is the most overrated film I've seen in years. I only gave it a 1 out of 10 because I can't give it any lower.

Fastlane (2002–2003)

Fun and exciting

Even though I agree this show is not the most original or the most thought provoking, it does provide a lot of fun and excitement. I love the music, the action..everything about this show is great. It's just something that you can turn on and forget about all the crappy stuff that is going on in the real world. I'm glad this show is on Fox because even if it doesn't have the best ratings, they'll still keep it on. Great show guys!!

Scrubs (2001–2010)

Best show to come out since Friends.

This is by far the best new show I have seen since Friends came out. A few shows have come, been funny for a couple episodes, but then totally lost their way. But Scrubs has kept up the laughs and more importantly has some substance. I like the fact that all the characters show their feelings about working in a hospital. NBC has done a great thing by planting this show on Thursday between Friends and Will & Grace next season. I look forward to many more seasons of Scrubs.

Almost Famous (2000)

A movie I could watch every day and never get tired of.

First of all, I have to say this is one of my favorite movies. Well acted all around. You have Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Billy Crudup and Patrick Fugit all turning in great performances. The story, the music the look of this movie is just amazing. You get so enwrapped in the story that you don't want the movie to end. I think Cameron Crowe created a wonderful movie here and all I can say is keep them coming Cameron.

The Exorcist (1973)

I laughed and snored through almost the entire movie

Now I've heard that The Exorcist is one of the scariest and one of the best horror films of all time. So my wife and I rented it, both wanting to see it because of these two facts. Well we started watching it and after about 15 minutes looked at each other saying "Is anything going to happen". Well finally the kid starts showing some signs of possession and we hear some scratching in the attic so we're starting to get excited that we're getting to the good part. Well nothing really happened. Yeah she gets possessed and she throws up, swears, floats, and walks like a spider. This is all more humorous than scary. Maybe if I would have seen this movie at the age of 10 when I saw Nightmare on Elm Street (which scared the living poop out of me, and I couldn't sleep for a week) it might have been better. I can say there was one creepy part in the movie, and it's when the mother is walking through the house and the lights are going on and off and we see some faces on the walls. So due to that one scene, I will give it a 2 out of 10.
