The X Files: Squeeze (1993)
It's 2023 & time for Tooms to kill again
This is the 30 year anniversary of The X-files and been binging episodes. Rewatching "Squeeze" is a delightful trip down the Golden days of yore. I miss TV like The X-Files. Serious, intellectual, funny, love and sadness all in one. This episode is a classic creep fest. Eugene Tooms is effectively freaky enough to make one want to live.in a completely sealed room. But really all I want to say is in watching this episode now in 2023 the 30 years are here and it's time for Eugene Tooms to come out of hibernation to feed again. In my dream world it would be easy just to have an updated series with follow-ups to specific episodes, such as this one. Having Skully & Mulder back again to finally catch Tooms would be fun. But, alas it's just a dream. However, for the fun of it, I'll be peeking in those small spaces just to be sure!
Monk: Mr. Monk and the Rapper (2007)
Fun episode Fo Shizzle
I never watched Monk when it was new on TV, so I'm late to the party. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I'm not a huge rap fan but do like Snoop Dogg & totally understand Monk. Maybe that's why I enjoy this episode so much. Snoop & Monk are polar opposites but somehow find a connection albeit a tense (& funny) one on Monk's side. The change of the theme song was a fun idea too. Guess it's mainly my eclectic taste in life that allows me to enjoy this episode over other people. If you have are eclectic like me, you should enjoy this episode. Not really a spoiler, but Randy gets to his music career in only the way Randy can. Definitely one of my favorite episodes.
Freaky (2020)
I give it a 10 for sheer entertainment
I was doubtful about the over used switheroo of bodies story, but this was a fun movie. The whole cast was spot on and I giggled and whole heartingly laughed. I've always liked Vince Vaughn and thought he was sadistic as a serial killer and quite adorable as a teenage girl. I recognized Kathryn Newton from Supernatural and thought she did quite a good job as becoming a serial killer. I don't really know how to classify the movie because it was a bit of everything. Less horror, but more campy, funny and at times intense and endearing. Definitely a movie I will watch again.
Supernatural: Dog Dean Afternoon (2013)
Hilarious episode
I'm rewatching from Season 1. Between this episode and Yellow Fever, I'm not sure I've laughed so hard. Dean is so hilarious being able to talk to animals. The scenes with Colonel, the yorkie and the pigeon are priceless. And releasing the animals from their cages towards the end is just what any animal lover would want to do. Can't get enough of Supernatural.
