The Auteur Theory (1999)
Good anarchic fun!
I really enjoyed this movie and it's spirit of anarchy. Featured everything under the sun, and the kitchen sink (if ya know what i mean).
But why didn't it have more New York in it? there was one hilarious over-the-top student film called "young and hungry in new york", which was great (looked like the lower east side to me), but i would love to have seen more of New York in this movie. I have a feeling most of it was shot somewhere else, the movie never really says.
Still, this movie shows that anarchy can be funny!
She's the One (1996)
Eesh!
Truly, it's hard for me to fathom how a movie like this gets this kind of average rating. I mean, are there two movies out there going by the same title? Are other people watching a movie that has any redeeming characteristics? Because the one I saw didn't.
Le Mans (1971)
An utter bore
OK, it's been a long time. But I have vivid memories of watching this movie years ago. And watching cars zooming around the track.
And more cars zooming around the track. And, did I mention, cars zooming around the track? And, by means of relief, an accident that turns some guy's face to hamburger meat.
Finally, I fell asleep. And awoke, who knows how much later, to images of cars zooming around a track. What a thrill.
