Extended Versions of the original two shows
13 August 2007
Although others have commented that this video is just an edited version of the two shows: "Fire in Space" and "Living Legend", if you watch the original shows you'll find that dialogue from this video edition was edited out. I found this video version much better because scenes and lines were added to it. I would say if you want to see the show in its original version, see the video versions on VHS. They have more to offer the fan than the original episodes being offered on DVD now. Another good video is Conquest for the Earth, which had more scenes from Galactica 1980 than did the actual broadcasts themselves. Overall, I rate this as a 10 because it gives you more to enjoy than what the networks wanted to show in the time slot they gave the producers.

B Movie, but not even Vic Morrow's voice is there
1 February 2007
I have seen this movie from Showtime around the same year he died in 1982 and the Italians didn't even keep his voice in the movie ! I can't believe they would just dub out his voice with some cheap imitation because this was one of the last movies Vic Morrow made before he died. I rated this a 2 because I can't say it's awful because Vic is in it. The acting STINGS and everything else is the same junk you saw from the Italians in the 1980's. One point though, the World Trade Centers are shown a few times in the background so that might be worth seeing it for. If you want to see a boring two hours then I recommend it, otherwise just skip it.

Zoo Under Glass
27 January 2007
This hilarious show starred Tony Danza as a talking alligator and Delta Burke (of Designing Women) as a talking cockatoo, in a zoo that was inside a glass dome enclosure. Kind of like a greenhouse, while the family had their house inside this dome too. The animals would only talk to the zoologist and each other, no one else was lucky enough. Winston, the talking monkey had an English accent and always worried about Prince Charles and what was happening in England. The opening music alone was worth watching the show for. It sounded exactly like the Token's because it was their famous hit song: "Lion Sleeps Tonight". The plot is that this zoologist has to live in this zoo and lead a normal family life with his two kids, wife, and boss's son.

Classic without Doubt !
25 January 2007
I watched this growing up in Georgia and it captured the flavor of the South ! Victor French plays the sheriff who's bumbling deputies are always messing up things. Baker is the black deputy with a little more intelligence than the others but still they all make you laugh ! I'm not sure how long this series lasted but I know it had a plot line all its own. This can't be compared to "In the Heat of the Night" because the show all originated in the police station. The fat mayor would come in and complain to the sheriff and then it would go on down the line. I was lucky enough to record one episode in the late 1980's and I have loved watching it. Columbia Pictures Television should give everyone the chance to see this classic comedy again ! It's well worth your time watching it.

It was scary, but not factual Mr. Whiner
23 March 2004
I have seen this movie and the explanation of NOVA's Case of the Bermuda Triangle. You must see both to understand that this movie was made for the exploitation of Mr. Whiner's book only. They asked him many questions that they could prove but he couldn't, only argue. It's simple to see that he wanted to make a scary movie (with a sinister voice like Mr. Price). The facts were deliberately vague and eliberated. The movie was so convincing that he made a 2nd book: 'Devil's Triangle 2'. If you want a scary story (loosely based on fact), then this is your movie. If you want to see the truth; then this will only make you laugh. It was originally released by HBO, they must have pulled it because it was so fake.

More a documentary than anything
21 August 2003
I saw this when CBS aired it and I liked the fact that Max and Donna were in it with Buddy Ebsen. I don't know if Nancy Kulp had died before it was done for television but she would have made the show complete because it was nostalgic if anything. I would recommend you see if it you loved the show, mainly because of the actors who appeared and the extra cameos of Ray Charles and Reba McIntire made it alot more interesting. Earl Shruggs made the music fun too with Buddy dancing at the end.

Arnold (1973)
Black Comedy Nothing, this funny movie has everything
21 August 2003
I was lucky enough to see this movie in the theatre in 1973 when it was shown. Then I saw it on television in 1986 and recorded it, which now I am really glad I can watch when I want to. But I can say this that Roddy MacDowell shines throughout this movie as does Stella Stevens. Norman Stewart as Arnold was really great, how'd he keep his eyes open all the time like that ? Jamie Farr's performance as the silent oriential servant was hilarious ! Let's say he lost his head over the serving part (ha, ha).

Elsa Lancaster was excellent as Arnold's sister, who get's all the solitude she needs at the climatic end. Bernard Fox as the bumbling policeman kept you wondering if he'd ever keep that bicycle standing up ever. I give it a 10 on the scale of rating because as a child I remember how scared I was when I left, seeing a nervous eye looking out of Arnold's picture every-so-often. Watch it if you can see it on TV again.
