Here is my review of White Noise and my attempt to interpret as best I can. It dealt with some heavy subjects. Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig turn in solid performances. Adam plays Jack and Greta plays his wife Babette. They both have a fear of death. Death, consumerism, media and fear are themes that run throughout the movie. The main characters deal with their fear in different ways. Jack is a professor of Hitler studies, a study he founded.
A line in the film refers to Hitler as, "a man who was bigger than death." I'm assuming Jack teaching about Hitler is a way he tries to conquer his fear. I won't say how Babette deals with her fear, so I don't reveal spoilers. Overall, this was a great film and very watchable and enjoyable, although off-beat and definitely an absurdist comedy. 8/10.
