Elementary: Miss Taken (2016)
Season 4, Episode 7
9/10
The best episode of these past 2 seasons
17 January 2016
Elementary finally comes back to its main purpose which is murder investigation seen through the filter of a very unusual character, Sherlock Holmes. And it delivers a top notch episode with many twists and an interesting villain. The ending may be a little too easy as the plot thickens and seems unsolvable at first, but for the first time in a very long time, there is a crime scenario that deserves its name. Indeed for too many episodes, writers forgot that Elementary was not supposed to be some very cheesy rendition of an addict's difficulties with a touch of crime, but murder solving by a genius who happens to use heroin from time to time. I think viewers can take it. And that Elementary could finally rose to the quality of its beginnings.

The Good Wife: KSR (2015)
Season 7, Episode 10

A scenario lost in a deep fog
15 December 2015
It is amazing to see how professional writers are at a loss to decide what to do with the characters of their show. For Alicia there is the excuse of "the new Alicia", one who drifts away more or less (rather less than more) peacefully between cases that are less and less interesting and chiseled. Diane and Cary Agos are there but they are stuck most of the time in this not very interesting problem of defending conservative causes against their own convictions. Peter is a no show most of the time. We are shown new characters like the investigator just to realize that there is no planning ahead as of where the plot will take them. And then there is Eli... my heart goes to him as his character has been so battered during this season that there is almost nothing left of him. He didn't win a new side of him, he lost everything that made him Eli. Do the producers and the writers really want to drive Alan Cumming away from the show? It certainly looks that way. For my part I don't know how much I can watch of this debacle.

Quantico: Go (2015)
Season 1, Episode 7

Plot weakens by the week
15 November 2015
The fast paced rhythm of the show only managed to hide an increasingly weaker plot for so long. Every episode is about discarding a former trainee from the suspects' list. As we are only at episode 7, we can easily imagine the new suspect won't be the right one. Moreover, the flashbacks are less and less interesting as they do not bring anything new about the various characters anymore. All shadows seem to be erased and there are no new elements of doubt about the trainees. We started with a very intricate plot full of overwhelming details and we arrived at a very black and white picture. Finally, characters are sexy and everything, but I found that romantic aspects are taking too much space, making the show to lose its balance. Is this supposed to be an espionage show or another Grey's Anatomy? The writers need to come up with something fast...
