Great source of motivation
1 April 2012
I've always been searching for such movies, to imitate in my real life, I think this movie is one of them. If I want to praise this movie that would be for the sense of reality in the movie and the cast appearances. Tom Cruse and Demi Moore were in the best synchronization, more or less their way of acting are monotonous in every film but in this movie they were in the harmony. For a great thing to happen it requires a series of desired chain event and I saw that in this movie. Plot is based upon two lawyers who are trying to defend two soldiers from Cubian base camp accused of murdering their fellow batch mate and how ups and down in the hearing trail leads to the conclusion.

What a movie

Had to be patient to complete the movie to write this review about it. what a movie, the guy who wrote the script surprised me by adding ridiculous twist and turn onto the most used action script in the Hollywood. And the actors didn't leave the chance and screw it further. Stone cold definitely was the star in the movie and this is the only reason that anybody should watch it moreover location was good too, cinematography was no bad at all. In India we have movies like this and people appreciate, people who loved this movie must watch some of the Rajnikant movies. In short it's a popcorn movie, rent a DVD and watch along with your friends and make fun of it, sure you will enjoy this.

very depressing

I watched this movie because I like John Abraham and kind of liked some of it's songs, and I am literally thrilled after watching this movie. I agree that many things didn't go well in this movie like writing part, cinematography part and in some of the scenes acting was clumsy too but the overall impact of the movie was very intense. I don't know that is it a rumor but some of the sources claimed that John and Nagesh Kuknoor(director) didn't charge at all for this movie as the subject was beyond economics. Padma(Anaitha Nair) was the cream of the movie and she enlightened the screen every time she appeared, I hope she will get more project like this. Sonal Sehgal got the more publicity then Anaitha Nair although her appearance and impact was low, and I personally enjoyed the on-screen chemistry between John and Anaith. I recommend this movie as a must watch movie for everyone as it has a great message and elements concerning everyone

Stupid entertainment movie

With Rajkumar Hirani's third movie he made a hatrick of successful bolywood blockbuster movies and this time with his fresh script he broke all the records in the history of Indian cinema in the term of business. Movie revolves around Ranchordas(Amir Khan) and his two friends Farhan Qureshi (R. Madhavan) and Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi).Ranchordas(Amir Khan)as a Engineering Student denied to bound by traditional teaching practices and tried to convey, teaching is at it's best when it is served with simplicity and fun. Boman Irani as Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (ViruS) was the only piece in the movie who achieved it's purpose and he was so factual that he could make you, to thank God, to not to cast you in his class-room. Film editor has made a wonderful job to montage all sequences in a self-explainory manner and it was non other but Rajkumar only. Like Amir Khan's other movies he looked here stiffed too, he has failed make any appeal to audience but still his quick clear with perfectly synchronized mover made this movies alive and he had perfect timing for humor punches too. Cinematography is not the thing for director as observed from "munna bhai MBBS" and "Lage raho munna bhai" but his movies are justified as soon as these are kept in commercial cinema. All I personally liked in this movie was it's script which is soul of the movie but when conspiracy evolved from the all time best seller writer Chetan Bhagat for the story plot nothing was left in the movie. When you personally read his famous book Five Point someone you will also have the sympathy for him. Overall for a film critic there is nothing wonderful to write about but still is a enjoyable movie and in the country like India where dream sells, commercial movie flies
