The Matrix (1999)
Totally Mind Bending
"The Matrix" had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The concept is mind-blowing. The idea that our reality is just a simulation had me questioning everything. The action sequences are jaw-dropping. The fight scenes are choreographed so beautifully, with a mix of martial arts and mind-bending special effects. From dodging bullets in slow motion to intense hand-to-hand combat, the action in "The Matrix" keeps you hooked and wanting more. Keanu Reeves delivers a solid performance as Neo, the chosen one destined to save humanity from The visual effects are impressive, even by today's standards. "The Matrix" is more than just an action film; it explores deep philosophical themes. It raises questions about the nature of reality, free will, and the power of pchoice. It invites the audience to ponder the boundaries of human perception and the control we have over our own lives. "The Matrix" is a must-watch for any fan of sci-fi and action. It's a thought-provoking adventure that combines thrilling action, mind-bending concepts, and memorable characters. Even as an amateur movie enthusiast, I can confidently say that "The Matrix" is a cinematic experience that will leave you questioning the very nature of your existence.
Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (2024)
Totally Loved It!
The first two episodes were awesome. I'm so proud that it's being shot in Toronto. And I'm so proud to be a Torontonian. Especially loved the second episode. The crazy opening scene with the neighbours-intervention was discombobulating and the last scene in the interview room was a very tricky head trip. The whole show is extremely well shot. It's really cool to see Toronto looking so amazing. I'm used to seeing Toronto shot to look like some other American city like New York or Chicago. So it's about time that we have more series that reveal this awesome city for what it is. We don't have to be ashamed of the CN Tower anymore!!! ;) Overall, all of the acting is intriguing and gripping. The two leads have great chemistry. In terms of story, I really didn't know what's gonna happen next. I.e. Who is the real perp? Which is something I love about Law and Order. AND!!! - I don't mind the ToronTo pronunciation thing. ToroNo has a little bit of a smallish-city vibe and it's about time we all got better enunciation! ;)
