Just Buried (2007)
A young man comes to father's burial and fell in love with local mortician
Wow, what a great movie. Firstly I must say that this movie made me to become fan of Rose Byrne. She is amazing here. Much better than her role in Damages or Wicker Park. After his father death, Oliver (Jay Baruchel) comes in a small town on his funeral and there he meet beautiful local mortician Roberta Knickel (Rose Byrne). His father leaves him funeral home. Business goes well when people suddenly start's dying but everything is just a part of bigger plan. Movie is black comedy and it has very funny scenes, but Rose Byrne is the main reason to watch it couple of times. The best scene in this movie to me is conversation about Roberta's work on dead people during breakfast. She is so in her role while she was explaining Oliver how she prepares body for funeral.
Eleventh Hour (2008)
A promising show
First of all, I like two main stars, Rufus Sewell and Marley Shelton. They are so fitting together, they are totally different from each other and that makes great chemistry between them. He is smart but weak in other stuff and she is his bodyguard and also very beautiful what would get attention from male public. Very similar relationship like Mulder and Scully had in The X-Files. The story of human cloning is also great because it can be happening or maybe already is happen. Since this is a Jerry Bruckheimer's production I'm sure it will last for at least a couple of seasons. I just can't wait for the next episode.
Sleepwalking (2008)
Life drama about relationship between 12 year old girl and her uncle
I watched this movie today and I must say that it was absolutely amazing. It is drama by genre but most of the time this kind of movies are much better than we thought. With four amazing main actors this movie couldn't fail although only two actors, AnnaSophia Robb and Nick Stahl are keeping this movie so good. After Tara's (Robb) mother Joleen (Charlize Theron) leave's her with her uncle James (Nick Stahl) their lives are start to fall down. James gets fired from his job and social service takes Tara to foster home. One day James comes to visit Tara and by her request they leave the city by car in unknown direction. On they trip they would get more closer, and some events will open their eyes from a long dream. Nick Stahl is great as James. His character's childhood was abuse by his father as his sister Joleen. Charlize Theron is solid, but real star of this movie is AnnaSophia Robb. She has only 14 years old and already playing complex roles like this one. She is going in the right way by now.
