This movie was very entertaining but certainly not great. I think Chris Rock gave a great performance and Anthony Hopkins is always wonderful. The action sequences were very good, especially the camera work in the field car chase. I'm glad I didn't see it in the theater, but I'm glad I saw it just the same.

Everyone has seen murder mysteries where someone dies and the hot shot cop cleverly catches the bad guy. But there has never been a murder mystery with this particular plot twist. This movie is very well done and entertaining.

This movie was obviously done by director John Woo, who is known for his violent film content. It seems we relive the same basic battle four or five times before the movie ends. And in each battle the soldiers simply run around firing unlimited ammo from the hip as dozens of Japanese soldiers fall down. It was very dissapointing and unrealistic in terms of war movies.
