The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
Someone just give Nick Offerman the Emmy Now
Just give Offerman the Emmy. Yes, slightly different from the game sure. But, it's expected it would differ from the game. What a great performance. Moving, performance. There's a reason the game is one of the most awarded of all-time, and it's not because of fancy graphics. The story is phenomenal, and they're carrying it tremendously to the TV adaptation.
My one slight gripe is the game had Joel was a bit more angry then in the series. He was much more angry over the events that happened in the past, and took it out on Elle a lot more. But, that's just a minor thing to note. The episode otherwise is brilliant, and I can't wait for the rest of the series.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)
Fun Watch!
I don't get all the negative reviews. Is this movie going to make the Criterion collection? When people think of the Best Acting performances, is this anybody's first, second, or 107th choice? No. But, it's a fun movie to sit back, and laugh. Not every movie has to be a Best Director, Criterion Collection Masterpiece. Sometimes you want something dumb, silly, and fun.
Sit back and enjoy!
Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest (2013)
A Classic!
My wife, kids, and I, still enjoy watching this special around Halloween. There's just something entertaining about watching Curious George. Never gets old.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Hauntingly Sad and Beautiful
It's not going to make you jump out of your seat every moment, but that's also what makes it charming. It's a wonderful, poetic story much more like a gothic horror. Sad, moments of dread and terror. But, lots of great story telling. If you want to be terrified the entire time, go watch another horror movie. This is much more like Penny Dreadfuls, and other gothic story telling. I loved it. I hope for more.
Trolls World Tour (2020)
Rock Music is Evil and Will Steal Your Soul
Music is subpar, and a terrible message that rock music is the devil, and makes everything evil. As long as it's "Pop'ish" and has no substance, it's all good. Did a southern pastor write this movie?
Somebody Feed Phil (2018)
Absolute Gem
This show is great! Phil has a very goofy, "Dad-like" vibe that makes the show so fun to watch. I love watching him interact with the people and talk about all the dishes he's experiencing. I can't wait for more episodes! Food is a language that brings us all together.....unless it's pineapple on pizza. No one wants that.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
Gem of a show!
This is a gem of a show! Great writing, and the acting is on point. David is hilarious. Moira and her wit. You can't go wrong with Eugene Levy as the dad here. If you haven't watched it, I'm not sure what you're waiting for...
