World's Best Super-hero gets Nolanized!!
14 June 2013
Have high expectations when you watch this movie, as it won't go wasted. A humanity-believable approach to a super human character makes the movie different from existing super-man movies.

Its not about the special-effects you get to watch, but the story and the character makes a perfect sense to the situations demonstrated.

The movie is very fast paced, and we won't feel a single character or dialog misplaced for a given situation. It gives more satisfaction than the movie Avengers or I would say it would be on par with The Dark Knight.

Go and enjoy your weekend with the Man of Steel and never miss it in cinemas in 3D.

If u love Dark Knight for Joker...U will love this for Christopher Nolan..
20 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
With the exception of one lengthy detour, the action mostly sticks with Gotham this time around, and the fictional city-- an amalgam of New York's skyline, Pittsburgh's rivers and Chicago's highway tunnels-- comes alive more vividly than ever before. The dazzling IMAX photography certainly helps, using both wide aerial shots and ground-level street scenes to plunge the audience into the grandeur and mounting unrest in the city that's so obviously worth saving. Even Bane says that he is Gotham's reckoning, not Batman's, and populated as it is by such interesting people-- Morgan Freeman's Lucius Fox, Michael Caine's Alfred, and Marion Cotillard's Miranda Tate also being part of the equation-- it's easy to be invested in Gotham's salvation, even when the man in the bat suit charged with saving it is less engaging than he's ever been.

As the conclusion to a genuinely game-changing trilogy The Dark Knight Rises is appropriately big and ambitious, and it's unlikely we'll see anyone make a superhero movie with Nolan's sense of scale and devotion to old-school, captured-on-film razzle-dazzle. It has moments that are captivating and special, but also lines of dialogue impossible to swallow, plot developments that meander, and a commitment to real-world political overtones that don't quite line up with the story. It's sprawling but undeniably engaging, not quite the blast of clever mayhem The Dark Knight was, but no slouch either.

Batman will live on beyond Nolan, and hopefully with a filmmaker who finds him a bit more interesting, but the world he inhabits will never look quite the same, and short of someone letting Nolan make his series of Gotham movies without the Bat, it's probably the best we'll ever see this city. No one goes into a superhero's movie to explore the world he lives in, but Nolan dares us to do it anyway, and his willingness to challenge his own genre makes The Dark Knight Rises, like all of his Batman films, unmissable.

Try to find the hidden meaning of the story line...u'll love it!!!
23 March 2012
KPAX-- the movie I founded at the DVD store..just felt to see it after reading the one line story...so I went for it I was pretty surprised with the starting, and the whole movie is heart warming and quite suspenseful.

I became the fan of Kevin Spacy after seeing this movie. Story is told in a wonderful way.

But its up to the audience to decide its ending...which I loved the most!!!

I bet the movie is just like my comment..it takes a while to understand!! :) I know at end you too would love be at KPAX!!

BEST SCI-FI Movie in Asia - Rajini Rocks...
1 October 2010
I just came out from seeing the first day first show....Endhiran at Kasi theater in chennai. The movie started early morning at 4:30. Never seen a huge crowd like this ever before in chennai for a movie, that too early before even sunrise. The movie is 100% adrenalin rush action with Rajini's and Aiswarya's stunning performance. The graphic sequences are awesome. Its very difficult to distinguish graphics from reality. Last 1hr of the movie reminds us of 'the matrix'. The songs are picturised in a spectacular way. The movie is a super-hit in all possible angles. See it before others do. I mean to say watch it to believe my words.

Avatar (2009)

Feast for Eyes....
21 December 2009
Narratively the film works perfectly on the cinematic level. The first forty minutes or so require patience and hope as it is the weakest part of the film and offers some dreariness, but when the second act takes off, it's sky high with no limits for James Cameron. Avatar delivers the best action sequences put on film of all time. That is the boldest statement I have ever made in all my years of criticism. I sat on this for two days before charging it out, but I mean it. It is the best visual experience of my life, period.

Other than those visuals, the film pops with all the other technical aspects thrown into one. Art Direction is killer as the two worlds blend in perfectly for an acceptable time. The Film Editing is the crowning achievement of the film as it also offers the perfect blend of the two worlds, enticing the viewer and shifting us around. Mauro Fiore is the threat for a Cinematography Oscar this year. It was if the viewer sat down in a chair, put on glasses, and was literally placed on Pandora, spaceships, and floating mountains. The viewer can feel so engulfed by the imagery, you feel like you can smell the leaves from the trees. Avatar is utterly hypnotizing. James Horner's score is some of the best work done in his career. It offers a variable of devastation that moves the viewer to near tears. It goes back to his work on Titanic, where the musical instruments lifted the material immensely. The entire sound team is also locked and loaded for Oscar recognition as the feeling of animals, machines, and arrows buzzing by your head leave you imprisoned in Cameron's exquisite film.

James Cameron has come back home ladies and gentlemen Cameron is back, bigger, badder, and mature in his crowning work of his career. Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Titanic do not even compare anymore. This is the film that can blend the fans of those two films together and lock Cameron into your heart. He's a definite spoiler for a directing bid for the Academy Awards. You have admire the raw, natural talent the man has. How could you ever conceive such an experience and put that much effort and work into it and have it pay off? The box office success will surely keep him in the minds of voters for various critics' awards. His screenplay, leaps and bounds better than 1997's Best Picture Winner, is primed, developed and ripe for the taking. Though, you do acquire the tacky and atypical dialogue you expect from a science fiction director of this caliber, you can appreciate the effort and the honesty of it all. James Cameron is everything Michael Bay wishes he was, to put it bluntly

Wow...Movie of a life time!!
16 November 2009
I don't know what to say about this movie? Its one of the best movie made in this century.

The movie is not just about showing how an apocalypse may look like, but about how our governments will handle the situation.

The CGI(graphics) is so realistic so, the sound effects, screenplay and characters. There are a few situations that are not humanly possible, but still, it will take your breath away..thats for what we go watch a movie...right?

It will definitely make us think if we were in that situation, what would we do?

The efforts taken to make this movie could be understood by the perfection of each and every shot in this movie.

Don't listen to my comments..just think for yourself... What else can you expect from the makers of Independence day and The day after tomorrow.

Prepare yourself for the last days.

Just watch it. Its really worth it. Go ENJOY in a BIG SCREEM.

Worst script..worst story..worst direction..
10 October 2008
The movie has no Plot. I very bad and dull story line. Very bad direction. Waste of computer graphics. Untimely songs, which will make the audience sick. A super hero movie without a single super hero action. And worst than a TV serial or cartoon. More over the actor abhishek with such a caliber should never committed for such a role which should be performed by some serial artist. The story,if published in some action comics also may not be standing in its feet. Please don't waste your tie seeing this movie. Go and eat a happy meal.. Please give your sugesstion to others, so they don't waste there time and money to see this !@#$
