Yes, the plot is formulaic and rather predictable, but the insight and message was strong and moving. How could anyone not be affected by the fraternity house scenes with the lost DJ ( the beautifully strong lead character) taking in the important figures of Black history? I highly recommend any student or teacher who's interested in seeing the strong, positive side of the HBCU student, and the angst of the non-conformist finding the positives of community and education, to go to this movie. I applaud the writers, director, and actors for putting together a look at the positive view of the African American community. What's wrong with feeling good?
