The House Without a Christmas Tree (1972)
Good News...It's Out On DVD!
I was browsing through the cheap DVDs at my local Wal-Mart and found this little gem of a movie for only $4.00 last month. Just a heads-up to fellow fans, you can purchase this on DVD now and retire those ragged old VHS copies. And I agree with many of you...this needs to be shown at Christmas time, along with "The Homecoming". Are they just too "old-fashioned" for network TV? Because the sentiments are not dated at all, simply because they have been set in another time. I feel that if we can get endless showings of "A Christmas Story", "It's A Wonderful Life", and "Miracle On 34th Street" (all of which are wonderful movies, and all of which are set in the same time frame as "The Homecoming" and "The House Without A Christmas Tree"), we should have at least one airing of each of these wonderful Christmas classics, as well.
