Anand (1971)
Best Bollywood movie ever!
"Anand" has always been my favorite movie in Bollywood till date! The captivating and touching acting by the late Rajesh Khanna was memorable! Amitabh Bachchan played the perfect supporting actor role. The story, screenplay and direction by Hrishikesh Mukherjee for me, was undoubtedly the best by any Indian film director ever! What I liked about the film the most was the fact of how a terminally ill patient (Anand), knowing that the days in his life are limited, still enjoys every bit of it, and makes everyone surrounding him happy! The diversity shown by few supporting characters, like by the late Johnny Walker, who played the character of "Muralilal" was impressive! The songs were very deep in meaning and soothing. The best scene from the movie would be the death scene of Anand, played by Rajesh Khanna! 10 out of 10 stars, no doubt!
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
It's a film that, I feel, would be very hard or impossible to remake in the future!
First of all, I really loved the characters... Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, Haldir, Legolas, Boromir, Gollum... to name a few! All were well connected! I particularly loved the bond that was depicted between Frodo & Sam; very emotional and touching! Haldir, played by Craig Parker, was a character which looked Godly and drop-dead-gorgeous, as beautiful as it can be! The action scenes were immortal; very real! The character of Gollum was very sweet; the CGI and VFX were top-notch! A character like the Gollum can be a creation of a century for me! I loved the Amon Hen Battle; engaging action scene, in which the death scene of Boromir (Sean Bean) was very sad to witness! Finally, the direction by Sir Peter Jackson was outstanding! I've no complaint to make as a viewer for this film; it will stand tall in front of me forever! The Lord of all films! 10 out of 10!
