Its a heartfelt movie with a good message and a few chuckles. No this movies won't make you belly laugh, but It will make you smile. The script wasn't a work of art, but it tells a story worth watching. Its an Eddie Murphy movie... hes not my favorite, but if you are an Eddie fan then the acting is what you would expect. I think people are too critical. This isn't a masterpiece, but its a fun family movie. The only reason its PG13 is he says "Sh*t" a couple of times. I found it enjoyable. I think a 5 rating on IMDb is rough. Its not unwatchable, its more entertaining than a lot of the crap I've seen lately. If you couldn't enjoy this movie at all, than I think its mostly because you can't relate to the message, or suffering from the same issues as the main Jack McCall. Wouldn't have wasted money in a theater, but definitely worth the rental.
