Spectre (I) (2015)

Not particularly fond of it.

I think they are trying to get M,Q and Moneypenny too involved. 007 movies are about him and you should rarely see M,Q and Moneypenny. It just confuses the whole plot in my humble opinion. Made the movie more drawn out then it needed to be. The Car chase scene was simply not that good either. and what's up with Bond and his women ? I really haven't liked the movies since Daniel Craig took over, because of the direction of the movies not Daniel Craig. Need More Bond and girls and less M,Q and Moneypenny. I think Ralph Fiennes is just too young to play M. Seems like a Jason Bourne movie. We need more Bond, more gadgets and more girls and less of the home office. It's a good thing I didn't spend a lot of money to see it. Won't go to see anymore at the theater.

The Killing Jar (2010)

SPOILER ALERT.

Not only is the description of this movie wrong, but it is so predictable and really kind of boring. It is a Diner, not a coffee shop and there isn't 7 survivors that I ever count. The five survivors not counting Jake Busey who would have made it 6 never really figured out who the other dangerous person was or even if he/she was there until the person admitted to it when only 2 of them were left anyway. Just another excuse for a movie to kill people and show a lot of blood on a cheap budget. It is so obvious what is going to happen because everything is restricted to so few actors in just one small roadside diner.

Astro Boy (2009)

Simply Awesome

I don't know who said they thought this was a Rip-Off of Pinnochio but it isn't and never was. I don't know why people insist on taking movies and trying to find other movies "they ripped off". For me as a kid it was one of my favorites and every time my 11 year old grandson comes over we watch one of the old B&W episodes I have on DVD. I took him to the theatre to see this just me and him and we were both like a couple of kids.(I'm 55) I'm not going to spoil it for anyone that has not seen it but I believe it is a great family movie, or at least one you can let your child watch without supervision. I enjoyed it a lot. My Grandson looks forward to our weekly viewings now with his Grandpa. As a long time ASTROBOY Fan I wish we could figure out if it is one word or two ? All my old stuff the ASTROBOY runs together. Anyway I believe this is a fun entertaining movie and not for all, but give it a try for your kids and grandkids. I think they will enjoy it.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

One of my all time favorite movies along with The Green Mile. I love the Stephen King stories of both and I thought they did an excellent job of making movies from them. Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins are excellent as usual. If you haven't seen this movie you should try it. I don't think you will be disappointed. Excellent characters throughout the movie and a most enjoyable watch. Also if you get the chance read the Stephen King story it was adapted from.

You don't have to be a Stephen King fan to enjoy this movie so give it a try. Well I am trying to write something without giving a spoiler or putting in junk words but it seems IMDb insists I write at least 10 lines of text when just 3 or 4 lines would do.

The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)

I am a huge fan of the original movie and this movie as with most remakes simply ruined it for me. It wasn't totally bad, but that kid just ruined it. You know something ? If you are going to change so much of the movie why have the kid in it at all ? And another thing. Why change so much ? IMDb, Why do I have to have ten lines ? and no junk words ? At any rate the move simply did not meet my expectations, like the War of The Worlds. Can't anyone do a decent remake ? If you have not seen the original, you might like this. Missed out on the Elevator scene and the world coming to a stop.

This movie certainly didn't disappoint me as much as the Tom Cruise War of the Worlds which was totally bogus.
