Heartwarming Film
21 May 2024
I saw this as part of the AMC Unseen screening and to my shock I had never heard of this film before. Typically being the movie fan that I am I tend to hear about a lot of movies, but somehow this one slipped through the cracks. I was very skeptical when the movie had the intro from Tony Goldwyn, but did a super quick IMDb search to see who was in it and figured it would be good. Boy am I glad I decided to see this screening because it was very good. I am not parent, but watching this movie made me think of what would my dad do in this situation. The movie is very heartwarming. Bobby Canavale and the rest of the star studded cast help make this seemingly dramatic plot line into a very enjoyable dramedy. I really enjoyed this movie and hope to everyone will give this movie a chance.

Slow Start
6 October 2023
I've been a fan of Chucky for many years and the character has been around so long that I'm not sure why Don Mancini feels the need to keep dragging out the story and making it a slow burn. We know who Chucky is and what he's a capable of. No need to keep focusing on the Good Guy doll version of himself like we still don't know what he's all about. I'm hoping this season also changes the clichés of the first two seasons. The show is unfortunately starting to feel extremely repetitive now. I'm sure the show will pick some steam this season, but like I said, there's no need to keep having a slow burn start when the character has been around for so many years and so many movies/seasons. Just get the action going.

Awful Finale
8 May 2023
I know this show has been on for over two decades and that the show has clearly declined, but man was this is an awful finale. After a season that has shockingly been pretty decent for the most part, they really fumbled with these last two episodes. I knew having a Meg centered finale wouldn't be the best, but I was hoping for something a little more. Peter barely made an appearance and I don't recall ever seeing Brian in this episode. Family Guy just doesn't have that same hard hitting comedy that it once had years ago. I'm hoping that next season can be better, but with the writers strike in full swing I'm not sure what we can expect.

Oh my heavens
16 February 2023
This movie is somehow very comparable to Skinamarink and that's not a good thing at all. You have absolutely no idea what's going on the entire runtime and it's full of horrible filmmaking with extremely dark shots with a flashlight every once in a while. If the darkness bothers you, don't worry because you'll end up getting screams and running with no context. If that doesn't bother you then you'll just be treated to random footage thrown together going from night to day and so on and so on. I really don't know what the heck was going on in this movie. If it's this easy to make a movie then maybe I need to pick up my iPhone and just start shooting random footage and ask a studio to buy my horribly shot movie and release it theatrically to piss everyone off. Apparently it's that's easy in 2023.

Final Season?
26 October 2022
I used to be a massive Walking Dead fan and still watch it since I never gave up and this happened to be the end, but my lord this is just ridiculous. The writing has fallen off so hard it's actually embarrassing. The dialogue and scenarios are awful. Getting tired of the bullets being sprayed everywhere to hit absolutely nothing too. I think we get the point of Negan trying to build trust back too. You've done this for what feels like forever and now the show is wrapping up so just get on board with him already. How in the world is this a final season when almost nothing is happening? This has to be the most lackluster final season ever and I'm pretty sure that's due to the trillion spin-offs Scott Pimple has in store for us even though all we asked for was Rick's return. All I know is characters better start dropping quick! Also don't get the point of re-I traducing variant zombies to not use them again...yet. Three episodes left! That's all I'm saying! Eugene and Gabriel would have been goners by now if I was in charge! Finale better have a high body count.

Just Terrible
21 September 2022
"How do you like those peepers b*tch?!"

Jeepers Creepers Reborn is the latest unheard of entry in the Jeepers Creepers series. Reborn plays more as a remake in a way rather than a sequel to the first three films. It's not necessarily a remake only because it mentions the existence of the films in this film so it basically treats itself as the real deal. Let's put it this way, it's the furthest thing from ever being the real deal. If you thought Jeepers Creepers 3 was bad and didn't think it could sink any lower, somehow this movie does that. This movie is pure trash on every single level imaginable. The cgi is so bad that you would think they just started post production one day before the films release. It's honestly astonishing how awful the cgi is. There's literally a scene the cgi doesn't render and you could literally see the green screen as the car door opens. If the creeper has ever frightened you in any of the first three films then unfortunately get ready to laugh at this one because he's a sniffing old weak b*tch in this outing. I'm seriously baffled at how awful this film was. The only reason it exists is because the writer/director of the first three films did some awful things we don't need to speak of and so they just flat out canceled that storyline and thought this would be an acceptable replacement. The acting is terrible, the plot is Hell Fest meets the Creeper, and somehow the cgi looked worse than it did in the 90s/early 2000s. Normally I'd say stay far away from this, but I also want you all to experience just how bad the Jeepers Creepers movies have gotten. I get movies like Jason X are laughably bad, but this one actually tries to be good which is sad. None of the kills were even good and I'm assuming that's because it was made $25.

Unexpected Snooze Fest
17 September 2022
After X came out earlier in the year and the teaser trailer for Pearl was attached to the end of the credits, I was excited for this film. I really enjoyed X and it even cracked my top 50 horror films of all time. Needless to say I was actually excited for this unexpected prequel.

Pearl is definitely a movie you ask yourself why it even exists especially since it was made before X even came out. Either way the marketing painted a picture that made me intrigued in the odd idea of having a prequel so soon after the main film came out. For starters, Mia Goth gives one hell of a performance. There is absolutely no denying that she nails every single scene she is in. I might even goes as far to say it's an Oscar worthy performance. However, the movie is just very very slow.

To me this movie had the feel of a covid film and by that I mean it's so small scale that you can tell it was filmed during covid. It's odd because X was filmed just slightly before Pearl and didn't necessarily have that covid feel to it. Pearl just takes a very long time to get going. If it wasn't for Mia Goth's performance I truly think I would have hated the movie. There are a few stand out scenes such as the ending, but it just takes way too long to get anything going for a slasher film. The movie plays more as a drama dwelling deep into Pearl's sanity and just has sprinkles of slasher elements thrown in.

If you're a fan of X and a24 films then there's a great chance you will for sure like this, but if you're a casual movie goer then you will most certainly dislike this movie. I even saw 6 people walk out of the theater.

So far two episodes in and I'm not feeling it like I did for season 1. Definitely not a fan of the new characters and not sure if I need to go back and rewatch season 1, but what happened to Oscar? Seriously do not remember his arc ended in season 1.

Not too bad
27 May 2022
Believe it or not, I've never seen the show before but love seeing movies so gave this a try. Wasn't too bad at all actually. Going to start watching the show because of it so I'm going to assume if a newcomer liked the movie then I'm sure the fans of the actual show will definitely like it. Kind of wish it had a bigger feel like Simpson's Movie and Beavis and Butthead Do America had, but the plot was fine as it was.

Why wasn't this finale?
13 February 2022
This episode would have served as a much better mid season finale than the one we got with the fireworks. This episode as a whole was so much better and even worked as a finale. The ending would have had us fans going wild for five whole months wondering what's next for the gang. It actually upsets me they didn't make this part 1 finale. The preview gets me excited for what's next. Best episode of the season so far.

Brilliantly Political
2 December 2021
I do not care what side you are on, this show has always been about a group of terrible people getting involved in terrible situations. That being said, this episode sums up the gang perfectly and hilariously. The fact that they somehow contributed to most of the 2020 nonsense is absolutely hilarious and definitely in character for the guys (and Dee). This episode obviously is a lot more straight forward with the political aspect, but it still plays so perfectly into who these characters are. It's just like Seinfeld, you get into situations and then since they are who they are they just brush it off and move on to the next situation. How could you have the year that was 2020 and not expect the gang to get into some crazy mischief? This episode was just typical Sunny with a much more straight forward approach. Just because 2020 was what it was, doesn't change the fact Sunny has always been up to date with current events. Only thing I will say is that it no longer feels natural for these guys to play these characters as it really does feel like actors playing characters now. Back then you felt like these actors could be the characters but now it really does feel like they're acting. Nothing wrong with that, but the delivery just doesn't feel as natural.

Seventh times a charm
29 October 2021
I have to admit I was actually pleasantly surprised to see them finally change up the formula. I'm also not sure if this was a remake or not because the end credits say "based on the film Paranormal Activity". If it was a remake it sure did change up quite a bit. Truthfully this could have just been another found footage movie with a different title. Sure the similarities to the Paranormal Activity are there, but it plays out much differently than any other film in the series. The movie honestly lacks in the "paranormal" department as it mainly deals with crazy Amish people. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually curious to see where this story leads after that ending. I feel like I enjoyed this a lot more than I ever imagined I would. Some really cool ideas in this entry. Just wish they upped the paranormal aspect of it more than they did.

This is one a fan of the series can enjoy but non massive horror fans will most likely groan at this one. I can't see people really hating on this one changing it up as it finally took them 7 movies to finally change up its nightly scare formula. Some cgi and and odd slo-mo they could have done without, but you can't really complain for a streaming movie like this.

Have you not seen the movies?
21 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
These reviews have to be paid reviews right? This is not Chucky. His dialogue fits him, but the show misses so much. The acting is bad and I think the poorly written script is to blame for that. The dialogue is so bad. Chucky is the only dialogue I believe because he's always been a smart ass. The characters are also insanely overwritten. Chucky would have slaughtered the whole party if this was before the woke era. I've been there with Mancini through all the up and downs in his series, but this show is just terrible so far. Chucky's dialogue is literally the only thing saving this show. He's not even getting any good kills in. Puking and a little shove into the dishwasher? Really? I'm hoping the rest of the season picks up fast.

Spooky Coincidence Happened Watching This
12 October 2021
I never get spooked but holy hell something freaky randomly happened as I'm watching this at 1:30 in the morning. Casually have my sound bar on loud enough to create a scary environment in my movie room and during the finale of the first segment as she's saying "hail radma" my blu ray randomly ejects out of the player for no reason at all and continues to make a weird sound. Now say what you will about this movie, but that randomly happening when you're watching this alone loud enough in a pitch black room in the middle of the night then that might scare the beJesus out of you. I shall continue this movie at a better hour when the chills are gone.

4 October 2021
Boy do I hate when Family Guy does episodes like this. Terribly unfunny and boring. Guess we can expect about 3 more of these kind of episodes this season. Was good back when they started doing these with the Stephen King stories but these past couple of seasons have just been awful with these kind of episodes.

A better version of seasons 7&8
6 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't about you all, but this season is just as flawed as seasons 7&8. To me this is fixed version of those seasons just with better filmmaking. The fact Daryl had his shadow moving in sight of the reaper and we're supposed to believe he didn't notice that is ridiculous. The fact we're supposed to believe a group of 15 can afford to burn down a compound for a test, burn a group member who's probably been with them for a while, and just go balls to the wall to chase people and kill them without question is ridiculous. You're going to tell me a group has survived this long but can afford to literally burn one of their own over an assumption???? Daryl getting cell treatment again????? Leah now being a big baddie???? This is enjoyable still, but I'm heavily questioning the writers on all of this. At least it all looks nice and professional.

Perfect ending
27 March 2021
When it comes to making finales, most shows get it wrong. By the time they're on their final season you can tell the writers are out of ideas. With Superstore you could tell they knew what they were doing. Rarely does a comedy series wrap everything up so perfectly and Superstore did just that. The ending was everything a fan could have asked for. What a great end to a great series. Will definitely miss this show.

Not a good finale
26 November 2020
After years of laughter, this final season was a massive dud. A great majority of the main segments were painfully unfunny (granted they filmed them thinking they had more seasons left) and a lot of the clips just weren't as funny either. It certainly doesn't help that Tosh was fueled by political anger that took away from the show. It doesn't matter what political party you're associated with, we can all agree that this season just felt very off due to politics and I hate to say it, his dead dog. He just seemed very frustrated this season. Still not sure what the behind the scenes action was with him and Comedy Central, but clearly something was going on that we don't know about. Hopefully when he moves networks we get the old funny tosh with a crowd to fuel him. Maybe he let loose more so this season just because he wouldn't have had crowd backlash this time. First episode felt normal. The other 9, not so much. I love Tosh, but this definitely wasn't a season I'd like to remember. Dude is a legend though.

Was Decent
9 November 2020
Reading some reviews and responses from people make me think they've kind of missed the point of this episode. If you don't know The Godfather trilogy then I can see why all of this feels "stale" or unfunny. Truthfully I didn't find this episode to be that funny, but I get the point of the episode and what they were going for. Decent episode, but not one I'd care to watch over and over like others.

Is this even part of the Walking Dead?
11 October 2020
The shows trailer looked very promising, but this show has yet to go anywhere at all. I feel like this is season 4 of a show and we're just now starting to see it. I feel like we've missed so much and nothing seems to be happening. This whole episode is walking and talking. A random flashback with no setup at all is thrown in, characters remain boring, and a story that has yet to seem interesting. For a limited 2 season show you would assume that things would have started hot fast with episodes like this thrown in the middle. Surely something has to happen, right?

They randomly add politics
7 September 2020
This is a horrible knock off of the Talking Dead. Nothing feels natural at all. The whole things feels staged as if they're all being fed scripts by the marketing team and Vought themselves. To top it off they keep randomly adding in political statements out of no where. If I'm watching a show full of violence and vulgar language then what makes you think I want to watch an after show trying to shove politics down my throat. Shut up and talk about the Boys and make it feel like a legit interview. Take notes from Hardwick.

The Walking Dead: Squeeze (2020)

Questionable
24 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Are we going to sit here thinking any of this is smart? You end episode 8 and out our heroes in a cave for it to mean nothing. The walkers all around them? Yeah they meant nothing. No one had troubles besides the one chomping on Jerry's boot. Also, how in the hell dod Jerry manage to survive any of this? He jumped the rocks perfectly and if I remember correctly he wasn't shown jumping all of them probably because logistically it made no sense to the writers. No let's get to Carol. She's getting over the top ridiculous. Yes Henry is dead. Deal with that ok your own because like it was said in the episode, you're putting others in danger because of your crap. Chill out or do this on your own. What's up the whisperers? Night vision goggles or some special way to see in the dark? Also what's up with how bad their attack offense and defense is? I'd love to see a montage of every single time side villains meant absolutely nothing and we're there to get slaughtered and show how "powerful" our heroes are. You hype these whisperers up but treat them like the Woodbury, Terminus, wolves, and like Negan's people. They're there to die instantly. It's awful writing. It's terrible. Something they keep doing since the beginning. Now we get two more characters put in peril because of awful decisions. Is anyone going to be alive or left wanting to act in this show? The episode features some great set pieces, but the choices are getting ridiculous given everyone is leaving now. I'll never get over the fact that none of the villains besides the main ones such as Alpha or Beta are written so poorly and there to simply die. If you want this show to last forever, maybe keep some people alive for fans to connect with. Carol needs to go or get her crap together.
