not as bad as I thought
20 October 2010
The clown costume for the crazy killer was actually pretty awesome. It would surprise me if I saw someone in it at Halloween time. The acting was nothing great but it wasn't the worst I've seen either.

The teenagers in the movie seemed to be fun loving teenagers instead of completely riddled with angst. The plot was similar to Nightmare on Elm Street in which the parents did something the kids are getting punished for...but I won't reveal any details or spoilers.

I did laugh at the first two victims that were white guys pretending to be ghetto. I don't know if the actors meant to be ridiculous or not, but they were and it was funny.

Overall, there was plenty of gore and jump out scares, but nothing that would get the mind going...but that wasn't the point of the movie. I don't think it is going to be a classic anytime soon.

scared me as a kid...and adult
20 October 2010
I remember this being one of those forbidden movies that my parents wouldn't let me watch because it was too scary. I also remember watching it with my brother and sister when I wasn't suppose to. There was a lot of pulling the covers over my eyes and being scared to watch. For the time of the movie (and even now) the make up and zombie effect was pretty cool. I still get especially creeped out when little kids are the killers. Something about it is un-natural...but then again that was suppose to be the feeling that the viewer was to have.

Creepy kid, lots of suspense, murders, strange old guy, and an evil undead cat. As an adult I still cannot bring myself to watch this without covering my eyes, remembering my experience as a kid. I tried to read the book, but Stephen King was too good of a writer and I was not able to sleep after reading a few chapters.

Happy watching! Chickidoodle www.getyourlogon.com

Great Movie
17 December 2009
Paul Reiser is one of my favorite people in show business. I have read both of his books and think that he is great. Peter Faulk can deliver a punch line with the best of them. The combination of the two is magic.

This is a story about a family really getting to know each other. Through a road trip a father and son connect for the first time in their lives in the midts of a family crisis. They do all the things that fathers and sons are suppose to do in life...they are just doing them much later in life. The situations are very funny, but have the feeling that they could actually happen to people in real life (not obsurdly over the top or cartoonish). This is the first time that I watch Paul Reiser and fully believed every emotion that was portrayed. At times, his eyes look so sad.

Gret movie and great story and plot. It has comedy and emotion but an uplifting message...Olympia Dukakas does a great job also :)

Good new show...hope it lasts
2 October 2009
I was a little skeptical when I first watched Community because of all the pro-mos that were done. It seemed like every commercial break had a pro-mo saying how great this show is going to be...which usually turns me off a program.

I missed the first episode but caught the subsequent ones and they were funny. Chevy Chase does a good job at not taking over as the lead in what is essentially an ensemble cast. McHale does a good job at being a guy that does not want to be involved in other peoples' lives, but ends up getting dragged in anyways.

The Spanish rap that was done at the very end of episode 2 was just hilarious and the dance at the end last night was great. Silly but still funny and entertaining.

Rodney plays a warden of a prison whose funding is very low so that the owner of the prison can pocket the addtional cash that is saved. To get the prison "fixed" he decides to steal the things he needs from the prison owner (played by Randy Quaid).

I see other people have given this movie low ratings...HELLO, this is a Rodney Dangerfield movie! If you don't like Rodney, you won't like this movie. If you like Rodeny, you will like this movie. It is not Academy Award material, but it has enough of Rodney's stand up comedy feel to be entertaining.

Paul Rodriguez is a very funny addition to the cast. A lot of cameos by recognizable stars (including Ron Jeremy...hilarious).

Good, but could have been better
21 May 2009
I am a fan of the original Highlander movie and an even bigger fan of the Highlander TV series. I was excited to see that both characters were going to be in a movie together. I was even more excited because I saw that characters from the TV show like Joe Dawson and Methos were going to be in it too.

Here is the disappointment: Joe & Methos are in the movie for roughly 5 minutes. They serve no other purpose than to unite Connor & Duncan. The other disappointment came when I saw character Jin Ke. He was awesome & should have had more screen time. The last complaint was that this movie was about an hour and a half. The story line and characters needed a little more development.

I would recommend this movie because it did kick butt.
