Iron Fist (2017)
Really bad writing..really bad and really bad acting
Well the writing's neither here nor there..its absolutely lost. You would imagine the story having its roots in the monk civilization of the Himalayas could have such merit, but it actually ends up making a mockery out of it. It appears that the writers did not have any what-so-ever idea about a kung fu monk society.
Marvel could have invested into some research, I don't understand why they didn't. Maybe they needed to go on floors with the Defenders as soon as possible that they allowed this to release as half-cooked it was.
The positives - The first 5-6 episodes are watchable. They are not great but they help build an appetite for something great to unfold and then crashes everything. Another positive - Jessica Henwick's character - but similar to the plot, the character was awesome in the first half of the series when there was a mystery attached to her - by the second half she is left to follow the Iron Fist and concur every decision he makes. Tom Pelphrey's act is good but nothing close to saving a sinking ship. I did not find any other positives with the show.
I will end having losing a couple of hours easily if I start counting on the negatives.
